Democrat Drivers Puzzle Me

I drove to Tampa today, 25 miles of the way behind a slow convoy of imbeciles.

I guessed the problem was road construction.

No.

Some guy had a flat tire and all the Democrats were driving past him slowly to rubber-neck the excitement.

Your post raises questions:

Are you easily puzzled?
Why would you go to Tampa?
Why would you creep along for 25 Miles?
Are Republicans thus dumber than Democrats?

There must be some kind of symbolism here, but I don't understand it. Can somebody explain please?

I am neither republican nor democrat here, just a person who is trying to figure out the metaphor.

Are you sure it was a Democrat and not a "Q-Tip" Republican?

Of course they were Democrats...They looked, they beheld, they passed by on the other side; figuring that the government would send motorist assist to help the guy.

Why vote to tax other people if you still have to dirty your hands helping your fellowman?

You've gone full retard.

You've obviously have NEVER driven in Florida! You would so get the Q-Tip reference.

No one knows what to do with the cognitive dissonance caused by the fervant claims that liberals "care" and their lack of putting their money where their mouths are.

You'd like to know where I put my money, dont'cha?

I live in a snow-bird state. I have a steel rod in my leg as a result. I get the reference.

Had Q-tip stopped to assist, likely the wife of retired farmer from Nebraska. Since Q-tip did not stop, retired AFSCME member out of the Northeast.

Republicans forget that Reagan tripled the deficit AND GW wasted a surplus! Talk about cognitive disconnect

In your case, since I believe your bleeding heart is, for now, (relatively) pure...I would bet about 1.3% of your gross income goes to cause du jour like whatever green-peace has morphed into, the ASPCA, and the WWF. You possibly are sponsoring one of those late night orphans residing in Latin America or Africa.

As far as human causes, if someone can sell you on a specific connection, especially if the word 'fight" is in the solicitation you might be giving up to an additional 1%. Fighting breast, lung, or generic cancer for example. You are social so anyone hits you up for a walk-a-jog-bike-a-swim-a-thon, you generously give $1 a mile. You also always buy girl-scout cookies.

That family that comes in every Saturday to get that HUGE stack of books with big smiles and thrift store clothes? Probably on average about 7.4% of their income goes to charity. Over 1/2 of it say 4-5% likely goes to their church where somewhere between 75% to 95% goes to help the poor. In addition they average a percent or two a year with friend/family/stranger in need whenever they feel "moved-upon" by Almighty God of their choice.

...just statistically speaking of course...your actual mileage may vary.

Depends on whose metaphor.

In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, You need to know that the Jews and the Samaritans had considerable enmity for each other.

A Jew was robbed, beaten and left for dead. A procession of prominent Jews..(people known for their piety and "caring") saw the man down and crossed the street to avoid getting involved.

Along came the Samaritan, a member of a group looked down upon as being of less godly than the Jews stops, takes the guy to his own home and cares for him.

Democrats claim to be the ones that care, but demonstrably only care if it is someone else's money spent to help the poor. Also...Trial Lawyers are overwhelmingly Democrat, if that helps.

Ah, no, sorry....Reagan with his military spending and GW with his "wars"...

Ah, yes, sorry...

The military spending bankrupted the Soviet Union which gave the Gingrich congress the "peace dividend" that along with taxes on the artificial wealth of the dot-com bubble resulted in that Republican Congress' surplus.

The "Peace dividend" that never made it to the middle and lower classes? That "Trickled On" economics that never worked?

Rich getting richer, blaming the poor for being poor, and the immigrants for taking so many jobs that the U.S. economy is tanking.

C'est la vie.

Trickle-up is working out great isn't it?

Good thing Clinton was too distracted to argue much.... else all those families that broke the cycle of poverty with welfare reform would never have had that push out of the nest. Clinton, given his "druthers" would have squandered the peace dividend on meaningless social programs.
