Mr. Speaker! We Need To Get Back To Benghazi

Pelosi was Speaker of the House...

Didn't really have much to do with 10 Democrats and 9 Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Your criticism that the House committee is "stacked' is based on numbers.

Last I checked 10 is larger than 9.

You're as fucking stupid as VetteBRacist is.

The House committee "investigating" Benghazi, AGAIN.. The only reason that the Democrats are participating at all is to keep the GOP from conducting an Issa-style star chamber hearing whose only aim is to energize their base prior to the mid term elections. Anyone who thinks that the GOP is after the "truth" is fucking kidding themselves, this isn't about truth, it's about shoring up their weak candidates for November and trying to sling mud on who they assume will be the Democratic Presidential candidate in 2016 in the process.

Just like trying their to introduce an alternate VA bill last week that included tougher sanctions on Iran wasn't about the Veterans or Iran, it was about trying to score political points by trying to get Democrats to vote against both Veterans benefits AND sanctions on Iran. That worked out well for them didn't it?

Pelosi isn't a member of the Senate, dunce. In 2007 she stacked her Global Warming select committee of 15 members with 9 Democrats. How equitable is that? Elections have consequences, own it.

No shit dumbass, you're dragging up a committee for a completely different subject from 7 years ago up and I'm supposed to know what the fuck you're talking about?

You're really going to equate an advisory committee on global warming which had zero actual power to do anything to the House "Benghazi truthers"?

Really?

No, the original Democrat position was to ignore the GOP's little temper tantrum.

I'm equating a "select committee" with a "select committee," a rather rare thing in House affairs. If you had even the slightest clue, you'd already know the absurdity of their demand, seeing how when Democrats are in charge they "NEVER" constituted a committee equal in party members. It was actually Newt who declared he was going to buck this Democrat trend and appoint equality in committee assignments, and rued the day thereafter.

No, you're equating an advisory committee with no actual power to do anything with one tasked with investigating the deaths of 4 Americans in an attack on our embassy. An attck that has been investigated 13 times already, they just didn't go the way the GOP wanted them to.

What's that phrase you like so much? Apples and oranges.

Global warming? I'm surprised that she found six GOP members willing to sit in.

Dizzying the inability of some to follow a linear thought.

I picture their wall filled with post-it notes of bullet points; them scanning threads for random places to insert a barely relevant talking point.

It's on a scale with those who claim that a lie has been proven, although it will take a dozen people several months to determine.

White House’s Response During Benghazi Attack: Contact YouTube Over Anti-Islam Video…

Innocence of Muslims

Instead of sending help to the Americans fighting for their lives, they started to cover it up. But don’t worry, still a “phony” scandal.

Via ABC News:

A still-classified State Department e-mail says that one of the first responses from the White House to the Benghazi attack was to contact YouTube to warn of the “ramifications” of allowing the posting of an anti-Islamic video, according to Rep. Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The memo suggests that even as the attack was still underway — and before the CIA began the process of compiling talking points on its analysis of what happened — the White House believed it was in retaliation for a controversial video.

The subject line of the e-mail, which was sent at 9:11 p.m. Eastern Time on the night of the attack, is “Update on Response to actions – Libya.” The was written hours before the attack was over.

Issa has asked the White House to declassify and release the document. In the meantime he has inserted a sentence from the e-mail in the Congressional Record.

“White House is reaching out to U-Tube [sic] to advice ramification of the posting of the Pastor Jon video,” the e-mail reads, according to Issa.

“The e-mail shows the White House had hurried to settle on a false narrative — one at odds with the conclusions reached by those on the ground — before Americans were even out of harm’s way or the intelligence community had made an impartial examination of available evidence,” Issa said.

But that was always a bluff, of course.
Bluffing is especially dumb when you don't hold nearly enough of the 235 cards.

If something is "of course" a "bluff", it's a pretty poor bluff.

I think the phrase you are looking for is "political posturing."

...you know- the sort of thing you spent all that time accusing the not-yet-convened select committee of doing?

Where did UltraDunce™ go?

Some of us have actual lives, go out for lunch, meet people and carry on conversations that are meaningful. I don't have time to sit around and make fun of your stupid ass ALL day.

What exactly are you trying to prove Vette?

The committee you're talking about was completely powerless, an advisory committee, not an investigatory committee.

You want to compare that to the House GOP's current RE-"investigation" of Benghazi?

Think carefully.

What are these actual lives of which you speak?

You are welcome to bring any and all of those topics and discussions here at anytime.

We are people too.

Hm. Darryl Issa, of all people, discusses an email that undermines the coverup-theory.
