According to the FAQ I can't set an avatar until I hit 100 posts, but when I try to edit my profile it tells me I have to set an avatar. Does that mean I can't edit my profile until I have 100 posts? If so, why? That seems like a pointless setup.

Setting your avatar has nothing to do with setting your profile - they are completely separate buttons. Post count does play into some of the things you can do with your profile, changing your title is one of them, but you can still add whatever personal info you wish in the other fields.

Are you talking about your forum profile or your author's profile? There is a separate "author's picture" that is distinct from the forum avatar, which requires 100 posts. My author's picture has been up for a decade or so, so I don't know if there is a post limit on that picture or not -- I don't think there is.

Much of the information on your author's profile can be edited through the forum profile which should bypass any check for an author's picture.

PM "Manu" if you continue to have a problem, but provide a link to the page that is causing the problem.
