Your "belief" is not more important than my reality.

If Hobby Lobby was so serious about birth control, why did they neglect to consult
The Timothy Plan, or the Ave Maria Fund ?

Hobby Lobby could have avoided investing in birth control, if they object to it.

And, here, Hobby Lobby is providing disinformation-

Use old, disproved information, and claim ignorance, when exposed ?

"The company argues that emergency contraception pills, such as Ella and Plan B, destroy fertilized eggs by interfering with implantation in the uterus. Hobby Lobby's owners consider this abortion. But the pills don't work that way. When Plan B first came on the market in 1999, its mechanism for preventing unplanned pregnancies wasn't entirely clear. That's why the FDA-approved labeling reflected some uncertainty and said that the pills "theoretically" prevent pregnancy by interfering with implantation. Since then, though, there has been a lot of research on how these pills work, and the findings are definitive: They prevent pregnancy by blocking ovulation. In fact, they don't work once ovulation has occurred. As Corbin recently wrote in a law review article, "Every reputable scientific study to examine Plan B's mechanism has concluded that these pills prevent fertilization from occurring in the first place…In short, Plan B is contraception."

Not really. They're trying to have it both ways, which makes them hypocrites. It's cute, though, that you're acting all triumphant when you just made the exact opposite of the point you thought you were making.

This is just stupid.

If they were trying to make the most money they could, they would be making sure they supplied those things which they invest in.

In that they are trying to GET OUT having those things for their employees, then there is no financial benefit to them. They are making a decision to stand behind their religious beliefs over financial profit.

What about that is so difficult for you to understand? I get that anything that I say you view through your "she is of no value to anything" glasses, but if you really think about it you would understand this.

A corporation not caring about financial benefits?

No.

Is she for real?

Sadly, yes.

If any of you bothered to read the post, you would see that is NOT what I said....

The post was....

"That is a PERFECT example of why it is their religious beliefs that is driving this.

Your argument makes not sense. If it were for purely financial reasons, Hobby Lobby would the the FIRST and LOUDEST in support of these drugs and devices....it would benefit them.

But, not caring about the financial benefits, they are opposing on religious ground. You are giving a great example as to how values matter more than money!"

They are giving up financial benefits for the sake of standing behind their religious beliefs. I NEVER said they were not interested in profits......I said that if they make money on birth control and would rather give up that profit for their stance, then that is what they are doing.

I read that if the owner's of Hobby Lobby BELIEVE it does lead to abortions, then that is their right to stand behind their beliefs and fight for an exemption.

Liberals playing word games, harping on the word belief. Really pathetic. Sadly, we know they get their orders from The Huffington Post, which must have told them to emphasize the word belief.

Julybaby has neatly encapsulated the wingnut mindset: "My beliefs are more important than your facts".

But darn it, that whole paying for things because they are not free, people choosing responsibility over handouts, and that crazy idea of morals just keeps getting in their way.

Poor things.....:(

Tell us again how other peoples' children should suffer so that your family might enjoy their yearly Disney World vacation.

I continue to pray for your children.

Hormone change deniers.

Next, we'll be told that those scientific studies were paid for by Satan's minions.

You're an idiot. They don't care that the drugs are being manufactured. They hope people use them , because that means they make even more money. They just want to make a show of denying their employees access so they can clean their hypocritical consciences.
