I unchecked the box 'show avatars' for this board...what a relief! No more moving gifs, cocks, piss pots, violence. Whew. All gone. With one click.

I found a way to get apps onto my first generation iPad with an IOS of 5.1.1
Many apps want IOS 6 or 7
Soooo
Buy the app on your computer (MacBook for me)
Don't have it load to the iPad automatically
Then when you do load it on the iPad, a window asks if you want to download the older version of the app. Say YES.
I tried this with three free apps, and one purchased app
SUCCESS

Now I have a writing app, newspaper apps etc.

If you try this, do it with a free app first!
