I'm new to this site and writing erotically in general. Some advice and encouraging words would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and I hope to be as widely known as most of the authors I've read. Great stuff.

First, be sure to get an editor before submitting your story. No one likes to read something full of typos. :)

Second, don't be afraid to dive in. I thought my first story would bomb, but the positive I got kept me going. So you never know just how people will react.

Third, engage your fans. Be willing to reply back to them, thank them if they enjoyed your story and left you some good feedback. Let them know how the next story is going.

Looking forward to reading your work. :D

Welcome
Remember that the story is often important.
Find someone to edit your material.
Beware the Trolls.
Good Luck.

Welcome to the forums and the site.

And never, ever, use the word erotically again, ever. (Just joking ;))

Encouraging words? WRITE, DAMMIT!! Those are the only words you need remember.

My story: I started writing erotica (and fiction!) only in the last few months. I wrote a series, submitted it, wrote a couple more series -- and had the first rejected. That was the best thing that could have happened to me! I had been too anxious for that first publication. Rejection forced me to re-read and re-write carefully. That first series, edited, did pretty well.

So, how to succeed here on Literotica? WRITE, DAMMIT! Write, and re-write, and wait a few days, then re-read and re-write, making sure you like what you've written. Take you time. No rush. No pressure. Just do it.

Advice? I dunno....

- Don't worry about pleasing anybody. Just write whatever you want and you can be sure that there is somebody out there who is into it.

- Use the speel and garmmar cheker in your word-processor.

- Don't let trolls discourage you.

- Never eat yellow snow.

Welcome to the madhouse.

Remember to add a link to your stories when they are posted in your signature line for the lazy folks.

As for advice, well, most of the good stuff is already covered.

Write for yourself until someone pays you to do otherwise. :D
