Why has my phone just turned off and back on by itself?![]()

I wish that, for one day, every shallow and greedy and inconsiderate and proud and hateful person would be blind.
I wish they could learn the lessons of humility and interdependence, to know what it's like to need someone, to not have the luxury of being difficult with others.
Now wouldn't that be something?
G'damn. Lit lag just erased everything I wrote.Just wondering how you would make that judgement? We all have those moments...and you have no idea of the private battles people face which would make your "lesson" pale into insignificance...not needing people isn't such a crime you know...it's often seen as self sufficiency...a very useful trait...
And what punishment would you reserve for the massively grandiose?

I'm not passing judgement. I'm only thinking about teaching lessons.
We all have those moments, yes. We're all prey to greed and jealousy and anger and hatred and lust and all those base, primal emotions, and we've all had our share of pride. It's moderation. It's how you let those emotions affect the world around you, how they shape the way you carry yourself and how they influence your interaction with the people you meet on a day-to-day basis. When that starts to happen in a negative way because of those emotions, it's generally considered to be an unpleasant phenomenon.
Aye, private battles. We all have special circumstances that make it impossible to lay down a 'blanket law' for any given situation. We all have problems that dictate the way we behave. It's just the degree to which you let that dictation affect the people around you. You can be furious at the world, and if you burn off that anger constructively through whatever medium, that's a good thing. But if you spend half your day raging at people, and every day you find something new to be angry about, you're not doing anyone any favours. We all have our problems. It's how you cope with them that matters. If your coping hurts the people around you, there are probably better ways to cope, ways that can be taught.
*chuckle* Again, a bit too far. Self-sufficiency isn't a bad thing. I'm largely self-sufficient. If everyone I knew were to disappear tomorrow, I wouldn't die. It's the people that won't admit to needing to be self-sufficient, the people that take the lion's share of the credit without remembering who did the work. The narcissists, the people with superiority complexes, etc. etc...
I'm not meting out punishment. Only considering teaching lessons.![]()
