Readers of a certain age, or keen film viewers, may recall the name. Originally, I believe, it came from the 1968 film "Barbarella" or possibly the comics from which the film was scripted.
How she manages to break the mad scientist's Orgasmatron is one of the funniest bits of the film, and one might think that that's that.
Wrong!
It seems that Veterinary science has a similar tool for testing a Bull. See here for the light-hearted stuff.
The thought occurs to me that writers of SciFi and similar Fantasies might like to know of this gadget and perhaps think of other species upon whom it might be of benefit, for one reason or another.
There's a whole heap of plot bunnies in there, somewhere.
