how do i go about using electric stimulation in a sexual way? i don't mean putting a tazer to my balls but more of the tingling sensation that we could both enjoy.

there used to be product for pain relief that applied a voltage to the area via sticky pads and there are also the muscle stimulators which work in the same way.

have you every tried this during sex and what were the results?

You need to speak to DVS - I'm sure he'll be along shortly.

Tens unit. You control the currency. Feels amazing.

Sir had it on my upper, inner thighs during a flogging session. I got the stimulation pleasure, ad the pain was not as intense.

There are electric sex toys as well that run off boxes similar to TENS units. I've used an electro butt plug and enjoyed it. All sorts of accessories are available.

OMG, all of the bad puns. He'll be here "shortly", he's our "current expert or our expert on current" and he'll be here "directly". No, alternating-ly doesn't work. Was it an attempt at a play on words? Wire these puns entertaining?

In your opening post, you said everything except the initials TENS. A minor bit of searching would have brought that up. A TENS unit is the device you were explaining in your post...with the sticky pads applied to the area of muscle pain, you apply current, not voltage, to the affected area to relieve pain. Those devices can be used sexually in the very same way.

OK, before I get too far along with this, electro play toys require electricity. That in itself isn't that scary, but you really need to know a little bit about how electricity works. One thing to remember is electricity and water like each other. But, when messing with electrical toys, you should stay away from water.

Also, speaking of water, there can be too much of a good thing when playing with electrical toys. The human body is 98% water. This helps when making a good connection with the electrical toys, but if you leave something attached to the body in one spot for a long period of time, you can effectively dry that part of the body up of moisture. Also, setting something too high can cause water blisters. Neither of these situations are terrible, but if you notice one of them, you should understand you are experiencing too much of a good thing.

Using some imagination with a basic TENS unit...as to where the pads would be applied and just turn the device on. There are simple and cheap TENS units and there are expensive and elaborate TENS unites. There are single pole TENS and double pole TENS.

The single pole option is the cheapest, but it also can be dangerous. Some people don't agree, but the basic rule of the road is to never use the single TENS unit above your waist. Your heart is above your waist and the beating of your heart is triggered by a small electrical stimulation.

There is an area of your heart that does this triggering and another electrical stimulation introduced to this part of the heart could damage the natural stimulation or at least interrupt it enough that your heart would stop beating. It's not for sure to happen, but why temp fate?

A double pole TENS unit is safe to use above the waist. It's basically two single TENS units in one device. You can do a lot more with a double TENS, but it's also going to cost you a lot more. Because it's really two single TENS, you can create two different waves of current and mix them in a way that's called modulation.

You have the option for triangle waves, square waves, sine waves, pulse and slow increases in amplitude followed by slow decreases in amplitude. All of this, times 2. As an example, this means you can have one channel set to sine wave, one on square wave. There is a modulation dial where you can adjust the amount of each wave, effectively modulating the two waves together, to your own taste.

While the basic TENS will probably do these things, they won't have the power that a sexual unit will have. At this point, the cost gets pretty high, because they know you are going to use them for sexual stimulation. This sounds pretty extravagant and it is. It can feel pretty extravagant, too. And to get this extravagance, you will pay a price. These are probably around $300 for the cheapest, up to $500 or more for the very powerful. Below, I'll add some web sites for those devices.

There are also violet wands. I don't expect you to know what these are. The name isn't sexual sounding, but it is a very sexual, sensual device. I'll also add some sites for those, too. The current a violet wand uses static electricity and is safe to be used above the waist. These aren't cheap, either. You can get a basic wand and nothing else for about $150 to $200, but if you want any attachments, you are going to pay more like $350 or $450. There are options and different kits you can get and some kits will have fewer attachments than others, making the final price cheaper.

You have to make sure you get a good quality violet wand. You can get hurt, if your wand isn't made correctly or something was fudged in the manufacturing process to make it cheaper to purchase. The same goes for a TENS unit or a sexual stimulating TENS. These things all plug in to the wall and run off of AC house current. You should also make sure your house wiring is correct. If you have reversed hot and neutral wires, or no earth ground, somebody could get shocked or worse.

In the course of using these things sexually, the players can be barefoot. Sometimes, wearing next to nothing. The less you have on, the more bare skin is exposed and that means more of a chance to get shocked or even electrocuted, if you have a faulty device or you don't know the correct way to use it.

Just to prepare you for the price shock, nothing in this line of electoplay fun is cheap. And companies that make the sexual TENS units tend to make their devices and attachments connect differently than other companies, in an attempt to get you to buy everything from them. But, with a little searching, there are adapters to make another manufacturer's attachment fit your device, and visa versa. But, if you don't want to worry about adapters, chose the brand wisely.

Violet wand attachments are more universal. Huse and sons is where I got my violet wand. I paid about $400 for the kit nearly 20 years ago. It still works fine. I guess that could be relative, depending on how you take care of your toys and how well they are made.

Their site is a bit involved. They have all kinds of applets running. Some browsers might have a problem viewing some of it. Here is their violet wand section.

And here are their TENS type units.

Also The Stockroom is another good site. Both Huse and Stockroom have other toys besides the electrical stuff. I've done business with both with good results.

E-Stim systems is another site. I've never purchased anything from them, but they might have something a little cheaper than the two above sites.

Too Timid is a basic site for simple vibrators and other vibrating like toys. It's something a little different than the basic vibrator stuff. It's not really electro play, but these things do require batteries.

I highly recommend the ElectraStim unit. It's easy to use and you can do a lot of different things with it, it also has a great range of attachments or you can buy adaptors so you can use other attachments.

Not the cheapest but well worth it.

thanks for the replies and the names of the suppliers. i think i'll do more research before laying out the cash.
what would happen during sex if one electrode was attached to me and another to her? the genitals are moist areas and most current would flow through this point. i imagine the feelings could be intense.

As far as TENS systems are concerned, as long as your moist areas don't connect with her moist areas, each system should be a closed system. That means it has a path to take and unless you give it another path to take, the two would remain separate.

But, if there was a way for you to intermingle enough that the two separate TENS systems could touch through extremely excessive wetness or close enough proximity that some metal conductor in each touched, something could change in one of the systems. I doubt it would be a bad change, but when talking about electrical toys, it's best not to alter their basic configuration, unless you are certain what the outcome will be. In other words, it's best to keep things separate.

There is a way to intermingle with violet wands. There is an attachment that you can get, or it may come in the kit you purchase. It's basically a metal plate or something metal for one person to hold on to and an attached cable that connects to the wand where an attachment connects. In most cases, it's called the body attachment or something similar.

When one person has the metal plate in their waistband or is laying on it, their whole body is the conductor. What that means is, any metal object they hold in their hand becomes the attachment that causes the spark and the shock. This comes in handy with knife play, because a very dull butter knife can feel like it has a sharp edge, because the intensity of the wand is centered on the part of that knife that touches the other person. With the setting adjusted, that feeling can simulate cutting the skin, because the two pains of cutting and shock are similar.

Also, when using this body attachment, touching someone with your fingertips will shock them. Also, any other part of your body will do this. Of course, it will work better with a moist area, but because most people are sweating during this kind of action, that can be enough to give you a good connection.

There are other attachments that work with the body attachment. They are usually made by other companies, but if you are holding metal and the same metal touches your partner, it will work with a violet wand and the body attachment. One of these is the gloves that have metal spikes in the palm. If the base of those spikes that are inside the glove are visible and touch your palm, the tip of the spikes will provide the shock of the wand.

There are also metal tips you can get to put on your fingers. These look like claws and are normally used for sensation play, causing a sharp sensation, similar to real claws. With the added electrical stimulation, you can create other sensations.

There is also a Mylar flogger that is made just for the violet wand. I've never had one, but the Mylar is covered with a thin metal pigment that conducts electrical current. The handle is metal and while wearing the body attachment, that flogger will transfer the shock from the wand with each touch of the flogger tails. I just don't know how long the Mylar blades will last when used as a flogger. Mylar is pretty tough, though.

Some kits also come with a metal chain that is similar to a chain you'd see on a lamp, to switch it on and off. That can also be a sensual feeling, as it is run over someone's body. Because electricity needs a good connection, it won't conduct over the full length of the chain. But that is really ideal. The shocks appear along the length of the chain, at random moments as an electrical connection is established. Sometimes it's a good connection and sometimes it's just a small one. The randomness really is part of the fun.

At DailySteals.com, under the "Heists" section, subsection "Massage Chairs" today, there are two TENS units (different styles, apparently the same manufacturer) for sale for $18 and $25. I have no personal experience with these TENS units, but DailySteals is a good, reputable site with outstanding prices and policies, never any delivery/p&h charges, and remarkably easy returns for unsatisfactory items.

Their items are available only for a limited time...

Interesting...

Well this is something I've never tried. Although I have always been open to new things ill add this to my list;) haha electro stimulation sounds kinda fun yet so kinky lol
