The Walking Dead

That was, an ending of endings....wow! man o man....edge of my seat. Sorry Hershel is gone and the Gov. Great character although a true sicko,,,,

My take is he came to the conclusion that there was no other place safe to go to, except the prison. Except, there are like 80 prisons in Georgia. Pick one.

I'm not even buying that.... He just wanted what Rick had, he wouldnt share it either..

I'm glad The Guv's dead. I hated him so... much. It... it... the flames. Flames... on the side of my face...

Possibly. They were going down a road where the Governor was showing signs of redemption, but it turns out he was just too far gone. They needed to move the show away from the prison. That storyline was used up.

The Gov was a good character to hate. The Rise of the Governor is a regular old novel that's pretty good.

The Gov's attack on the prison is a plot device to get things going again. Staying at the prison forever would become a daytime soap opera.

Great minds type alike.

He is easy to hate, and not because his character was written poorly.

He was just a bastard.

I hope that the show can finally move on now, though.

the prision wasnt going to hold anyways....bunch of good characters coming up apparently

I loved that the two little girls took out that dude and that bitch. That was so awesome I stood and cheered.

What do you thinks up with Judith? Even though she really hasn't played any role or importance what so ever.

If shes dead I hope they show her as a crawler at least.

I bought a machete today at Walmart for 20 bucks. Bring it on zombies!

I assume someone scooped Judith up and put her on the bus. Either that, or Michonne (who we didn't see at all in the last several minutes of the show) has her. Recall the earlier bonding scene with Michonne and the baby.

Judith's importance is that she and Carl are the two things keeping Rick from putting a bullet through his head. If Judith dies, it means Lori died for nothing.

I wasn't a big fan of the Governor coming back, and my reaction to everything a week ago was "Yeah, he's a power-mad nutcase. We saw this last year." But now that I see bringing him back was a device to get everyone out of the prison -- and destroying it for all rather than surrendering it to anyone else was definitely in keeping with the Governor's character -- I'm more forgiving of this part of the storyline. The Walking Dead can't be a show about fixing fences endlessly.

Carl should have taken the shot, taken out the Governor at the get go. Leave it to Daryl to destroy the tank.

Yeah and Michonnes been making googly eyes at Rick for two seasons now. Whens someone going to tap that hottie.

From the way it looked to me none of them can hit anything accept at close range. Plus with that short barrel pop gun he had you better be real good at fifty yards staring at an 80 MM tank barrel shooting through a fence.

lol

They've gotten lazy shooting walkers up close. Should be honing their sniper skills on foraging runs.

But that's just me.

If there is a zombie apocalypse, I'm gonna have a hard time hiding my excitement as I get my guns and head to the nearest zombie storage facility.

They've gotten lazy on security in total lately. Theres so much you could do in a situation like that with a prison to start with but prisons are built to keep people in....not out.

Ricks picking peas when the fence needs fixed and upgraded. Shit like that.

I'd be looking for an armory and some .50 cal stuff. Some rifles and .50 M2 machine guns. Armored vehicles.

Notice they never have fuel issues? Hows that?

I feel they were just trying to resolve the Governor storyline and give a big shout out to the orignal comic which has a massive battle at the prison with a tank..that left the survivors split up and lost in the wilds

I wasnt surprised by Herschel biting it..in the graphic novels it was Tyrese that was decapitated, but we've barely gotten to know him on the show..and there was much less of a bloodbath in general

as for the shooting comments.. neither group has alot of experience shooting at people who shoot back.. they're more used to slow moving targets

They also resolved everyones issues with the gov in the sense that everyone got a shot at him in the end. Rick, Michonne and then the other new chick whos life he destroyed in a few days.

I much prefer how he went out on the show, it was fitting...in the graphic novel it's a couple small panels of Lydia getting outraged and shooting him..Lydia being the new chick he destroyed

and did you notice, that the other gal survived; the one that actually agreed to stop the fighting..wonder if she'll pop up again

Yeah thats what I heard, thats why the three way killing was more fun. That other chicks on the loose somewhere. Bet she'll hook up with the group in the bus.

I'd like to see a little more character development out of Tyreese other than "big guy who gets mad real easily." He's one step away from going "HULK SMASH!" at this point.

Keeping Hershel alive outside the prison with his mobility issues would have been a constant struggle. It's just as well the show eliminated that as a potential plotline.

And frankly, all season long Hershel has been acting like someone who knew he was on borrowed time, in fact was lucky to have made it as far as he did. He was willing to sacrifice himself to take care of the sick, and has been trying to teach little lessons whenever he could. That's why he looked so pleased when Rick was making his last-ditch effort to avoid violence -- he was hearing his own philosophy coming out of Rick's mouth.
