What do you think the percentage is to shave or no shave in women's private area these days?

I think the percentage is still greater in the shave category (or at least wax/laser) vs. the no shave.... but I think the percentage of no shave is growing.

Have you ever used mathematics other than simple arithmetic to solve a practical problem, if so what?

I worked on a chamber in an inert gas system that needed to heat a specimen while the gas was flowing over it. Multiple time derivatives were needed to find out how much of the heat was going to the part, how much was being transferred through the vacuum chamber, and how much was being lost in the gas flow.

Simple math? That would depend on your definition.

very true.

How did you become wise beyond your years?

we do that all the time in chemistry.

I was thinking more in an everyday life sort of situation rather than a work or study environment. For instance, the only access to my back garden is through the house. I was buying a new shed and had to be sure that the base would fit through the frame of the door to my kitchen in one piece. (I knew it would be a close thing even diagonally) otherwise I would have to pay considerably extra to have the base made in two pieces. I knew it would fit if the base had no thickness, but allowing for that I ended up with a quartic equation.

btw I actually said simple arithmetic not maths.

Why do some people wake up at 6:55am and others prefer 7:00am?

yay math in every day life!

Why do some people wake up at 6:55am and others prefer 7:00am?

because some people think that 5 minutes means something.

Is it satisfying to only get serious and thoughtful questions on this thread?

Do you mind getting many questions from any one particular person?
