Basically everyone is angry at the GOP

Exactly. And I can pretty much guarantee there are NO non-whites in that church's congregation.

This "former Primitive Baptist" woman and I had dinner a few times (strictly platonic) and I asked her why she left her old church.

She described it as a quote hotbed of intrigue, hypocrisy and buttsex unquote.

I just about spewed iced tea.

Yeah, I really don't know why the Nazi Party and the Tea Party get such a bad rap. Maybe there are just more smart people than comatose ones.

It's the same old question of "how to keep your boyfriend and your virginity at the same time?"

Primitive Baptist girls make the Pentecostal girls seem tame.

At least the Nazi's had a well articulated vision and a proactive plan for realizing it.

The tea party, not so much, unless reruns of "Father Knows Best" count. Not sure on how "Just say 'No'" would achieve that goal anyway.

Though to be fair, if they did have a well articulated vision and a proactive plan for realizing it, invariably some wit on the left would make the comparison to the Nazis. Of course that wit would be wrong. The Nazis were a socialist worker's party. Not much socialism in the tea party.

Funny, the sluttiest, nastiest girls I ever had sex with were all preachers' daughters.

You can't talk reality with these clowns. They've made up their own history.

If you dig a bit deeper, there is plenty of similarity between the Tea Party and the "Brownshirt" faction of the Nazi Party (the SA...the Sturmabteilung). Both came to prominence disrupting Town Hall meetings. Both were decentralized cadres with nominal national leadership. Both were used as willing dupes by their masters (the Nazi Party and the Republican Party, respectively), until their "true believer" cults (the SS and the Conservative Christians) grew to sufficient size. And most tellingly, both were eventually jettisoned as convenient scapegoats once they served their purpose.

One of the most relevant concepts I learned from my history classes; The perception of history, accurate or not, is usually far more important than historical reality.

And that's why it's worth learning about religion in depth, because it much less important whether or not God or Gods exist, but it is definitely important how people believe they do. Especially if they're willing to kill over it or vote over it.

That's a pretty good comparison, except I don't get the idea that the GOP leadership is using the tea party as dupes. In fact, I get more of a perception that the Republican establishment has little to no control over the tea party.

And maybe that's the whole point. I think the question for the '14 elections isn't going to be how many seats the GOP gains or loses in Congress, but rather how many so-called RINO's are unseated in favor of more hard line ideologues.

To set it within your comparison, it would be a play by the SA to take over the party instead of a purge of the SA by the party.

Can someone explain to me how me being a liberal means I pay less taxes than my peer in my industry who is a conservative.

Anyone?

Bueller?

See if you're like jenn and you're basically a slug you pay more taxes. It's really quite simple if you don't think about it.

Liberals don't pay taxes. They live off of the taxes of hard working (read, bible thumpin' conservative) 'Muricans. At least that what one of them told me, so it must be true.

Now, if you'll pardon me, we have to get Cameron's dad's car back home.

I am angry at the GOP and the Dems. I am not angry with the members of congress who are doing their job protecting the constitution and speaking on behalf of the people.

And I am angry at the sleeping Americans to stupid to make a decision not based on government controlled media or the GOP or libs.

Wake Up America think for yourself before liberty disappears a War was started over a 2% tax

A war over a 2% tax? Well that's not what happened, at all for starters. I'm curious what liberty you think we're losing though.
