Harry Reid and Barack Obama want a government shutdown.

How many "Throb believes" and "Throb wants" ascriptions will AJ spew in this thread?

His Literotica record is 27, and I've counted 19 so far....

What happens when a Christian Scientist business owner decides that his employees should only pray for healing?

The House GOP shoved a poison pill into the legislation and, of course, you blame the President and Democrats for panning it. Religious institutions and non-profits are already exempt from the mandated contraception coverage.

Business owners have no right to force their religious views onto employees.
They can keep their employees from working on Holy Days. They can make their employees sell and distribute religion-based items. They can make their employees put up and maintain religious displays.

What happens when a Christian Scientist business owner decides that his employees should only pray for healing?

Or a Scientologist owner who decides he doesn't want to cover anti-depressants, when he feels an electropsychometer that measures galvanic skin response is just as effective and far less costly?

The real funny thing about a government shut down, is that, it always starts in the middle, class.

So Obama knew 5-6 years ago when he came up with the ACA that it would later shut down government?

5 or 6 years ago Obama should have had a plan to boost the economy with good paying jobs, not any of this silly ass part time crap, that the media is flaunting, but then again, his Community Organizer experience really paid off with everybody making the same big bucks, right.

Wrong.

Yes the evil bastards dared to advance the wishes of their constituents.

...and whine like petulant children when the adults don't accede to their demands.

Sure they lack the votes to enact their hate-filled agenda....but hey, that won't stop 'em from trying.

A majority of Americans do not want Obamacare, a bigger majority of Americans are against handing the petulant President a clean CR. I posted the polls the other day. Read'em and weep.

Not completely true.

Many oppose the ACA in it's current form. This much is true.

However, those who tout the numbers against the ACA forget to include one very important caveat.

More than half of those who oppose it do so because they feel it's not "liberal enough".

They want a single payer system, not to go back to business as usual.

Rob and the Democrats desperately want a shutdown. They believe they gain political ground against the Pubs, but they need to review the polls after the shutdown of 95.

Another butt-hurt fringe right wingnut telling me what I "want".

Pelosi, didn't even show up for the vote in the House.

So? The bill they sent to the Senate is going to get tossed. The House GOP is not negotiating in good faith. They are sending bills to the Senate that they KNOW aren't going anywhere in an attempt to place blame on the Senate.

"See!? We sent them a Bill (that we knew they wouldn't accept) and they just keep sending them back! They want to shut down the government!"

Same old song. The House GOP is dragging their collective feet and hoping that the public blames the Senate for kicking a pile of horse shit they served up back in their faces.

You were less interested in what the majority wants when it came to firearm registration. (Some of us actually think the right to affordable health care is at least as important as the right to own firearms. I support both, btw.)

Yeah sure, only you are able to negotiate the labyrinth of new brainwashing standards the intelligentsia places on totalitarianism in order to protect themselves from public stigma.

did you learn that from Pravda?

they have an editorial about John McCain you might find interesting
