Jerry Sandusky told NBC News that he had "horsed around with kids", hugged them and touched their legs, but was innocent of the charges against him.
Mr Sandusky, 67, is accused of abusing at least eight boys over 15 years.
According to grand jury testimony, a witness saw him raping a boy as young as 10 in the Penn State showers in 2002.
In an interview with NBC News' Rock Center programme broadcast on Monday night, Mr Sandusky said: "I have horsed around with kids. I have showered after workouts.
Asked if he was a paedophile, he said: "No".
The former defensive co-ordinator for the Penn State Nittany Lions was also asked if he felt sexual attraction to under-age boys.
"Sexually attracted?" Mr Sandusky said. "You know, I enjoy young people. I love to be around them. But no, I'm not sexually attracted to young boys."

Interesting. If it had been me, the kid would have become a eunuch in my mind when I knew his age and I would have felt nothing sexual for him. I also feel this about other categories of people like friend's children regardless of age, their so & lovers, relatives, young enough to be my child or old enough to be my parent, and others. That feeling turns on when one of the conditions is discovered even if I have previously been sexually interested in a person.
Someone I have a very strong sexual interest in recently ask me if conditions were different with them would that still happen, when I said yes, and he seemed kind of amazed. I think it's something I learned directly from anyone.
If I were a religious person I might think it stemmed from the Torah where G-d tells the Jews that there will be other gods and lands for other people but not for you or something like that.

History will repeat itself as it usually does. She may think she will rise above and not get drawn in. But his usual lies and overall scum bag behavior will make her respond. Either way for the 3rd or 4th time we will be able to laugh at his butt hurt poor behavior.

Not going after you at all. Like I said, I think you will try to ignore him when it goes south and he does his normal thing. Just don't think you will be able to let his normal lies stand unanswered.

It just occurred to me that I'm Malcolm Reynolds incarnate.

Saffron decides to be married, Malcolm tries to simultaneously shake her off and protect her and fend off all the people telling him he's going to the "Special Hell." He tries to tell her that she lives on a crappy planet and if someone tries to kill her, kill them right back, wants to get her set up on a good planet with a decent job. Maybe ranching.

If you were to ask Malcolm how dare he take advantage of Saffron, his response is "Preacher, you got a smutty mind."

So if my laughter seems inappropriate, or my attitude seems unjustified now I jut think: What Would Malcolm Do.
