I got some things done around the house but the no internet was a drag. Lol!

I read a whole book in one and a half days. It was nice to hear the birds singing outside, for a change.

Ah, that four letter word.... LOL. Hi SW!

I had my iPod, so I didn't have to listen to him whine. Finally I gave him $10 to go to Starbucks with his laptop for a few hours of Facebook time LOL

That is a good idea! He must have been relieved. (and You!)

Mine is 12 so we have a while before she can drive.

What surprised me was that he gave me the $10 back. He had a free drink, paid for by the manager, because rude people cut in front of him while in line

Hi Photo! Are you all settled in after the move? :)

For the most part. Had an episode today with my costochondritis. They think it may be pleurisy, or both. Took some pain meds, but had to miss work. I feel higher than a kite at the moment.

Awww, what an awesome kid, Rj. :)

I have a free frappacino (sp) gift card from the library because I was in the reading program. :D

(i am in a drawing for a bike, I REALLY hope I win that)

And thank you all for praying/thinking of my little girl.

Every time we solve a problem a new one develops. I try to focus on how blessed we are that we have the doctors and technology to make her life better.

Something tells me you've raised a polite young man so he must have shown grace in the face of rudeness. :D

Photo, sorry to hear that your pain has flaired. Pleurisy is no fun. I'm glad the pain meds are good. ;)

YAY!!!! I have internet, cable and phone again!! I thought I did something wrong when I unplugged the modem to set up a new router. It turns out the neighbor's lawn service cut the cable to my house. A weekend without internet, cable and phone (with a 12 year old) was loooooonnnnngggggg. Giggles.

Happy Monday--belated, that is.

Aww sweetie, I hope your Tuesday is better. And I'm glad to read that your date was good.

Yippy!! Peaches!:kiss::kiss: Deep breaths--this too shall pass. I'm thrilled for you and the SO

"Wooo Hooo on getting internet (and all) back - THAT would make me crazy(er). Had the satellite disconnected already and found out quickly how much I miss my regular shows (thank goodness for RedBox) but no internet - getting the shakes just thinking about withdrawing from that!:D And thanks for the support - I can't tell you how much the love and support of my family here means - truly! (I have to giggle - as I take another deep breath - the SO calls and texts now about a dozen times a day just to say 'It's gonna be FINE honey' - nice to have someone who loves you even when they know you're nuts:D)

I hope they have all of the patient advocates lined up properly this time. Your sweetie doesn't need all of that stress and upset (which makes it harder on her momma bear). Hugs!

You have a keeper my darling sis!! It's cute to hear that he is texting and reassuring you. I'm really happy that you will be with him and smiling big every day.

Oh! In August she gets her feeding tube out!

*happy dance*

And she wants it out, which is a miracle cause even though it is outpatient, she gets really afraid. :rose:

My little girl is seeing her neurosurgeon tomorrow. Her tethered spinal cord is back and she has had several different tests in the last few months to determine if she has to have surgery. If the tethering is not causing her damage, then we just wait and see if it does, she will eventually have to have surgery, but this will be an issue until puberty ends for her, so the less releasing of the cord, the better. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. :rose:

Best of luck to you and the little one...my thoughts and prayers will be with you both. *gives Serene a big warm strong comforting bearhug*

LOL, the back has a pic of a pair of blue tits. Cute little birds. :D

Ok....that is awesome and I am sure that they are a lovely pair. The birds. ;)

He has his mother's propensity to swear: her father was a sailor  But he learned how sarcasm and kindness will do more to upset rude behavior than coming back with swearing :D

One of my fave saying is "A true friend knows you are a good egg even if you are slightly cracked." :D

And that is so sweet of him, a keeper.

I raised a sarcastic chip off the old block!

"Hi Photo - Good to see you back. Hope the move went well but sorry to hear about the problems you're having with pain. The shirt is GREAT though - gonna have to find one - it'll go well with my "Property of an Irish EMT" shirt ;)"
