It is not something I personally like. I just don't feel good, confident or sexy during that time of the month, especially not down there. If he wished to I would let him do it on the last day, but only after I spent much time, water and soap to clean myself. But I know there are women who don't mind, so I guess you have to ask her.

Yeah this is the same for me.
I HATE periods, I'm just lucky I changed pills so now I get one roughly every two or three months. But when I do get it, I just want to hole up in my room with a hot water bottle and grouch at everyone. If my partner wanted to do it, I don't think I'd say no, but I wouldn't personally get any satisfaction out of it, so It would only be if he has a real burning desire to taste my period blood :S

We have been together for over a dozen years and have had sex at least once every time she's had her period (save for a few times during illness, etc.). She's usually on top and I get coated, but it always turns me on. For me it's about the smell, I don't know how to describe it. But at the same time I feel really selfish about it being the baggage that comes with her period. She isn't grumpy, but I know she isn't comfortable.

I don't care one way or the other--he likes to sometimes. Apparently we ladies taste different all throughout the month, and he enjoys that. I have an incredibly light, regular 3-4 day period which generally seems to taper off at night, especially since my youngest child's birth (and since getting off all forms of birth control entirely). Many of those myths have spread out into secular society - so who beyond religion is educating that it is wrong? Where did they get their notions from? Who takes irresponsibility for dispelling these myths?
I can understand how lack of running water combined with hot climates may have impacted on hygiene concerns, but for by far the majority reading this over the Internet, lack of running water will not be a concern.
For those who have doubts - get over it and just have fun. When you realise you can - make sure you are not responsible for these myths continuing.
