Where the hell do I put this thing?

Guide to Literotica audiences

This essay is called "How to Break the Literotica Toplist" by Tink4Fairy, but it's basically a really good guide to readership in the various categories and would help guide you to the right one. It's all about the expectations and demographics.

That's an interesting take. I hadn't given much thought to sci-fi fantasy.

I think that's because for whatever reason my own take on that genre has never been "dark". Personally I think the only dark sci fi series I remember when I was younger was Julian Mays "The Pliocene Saga"

I'll think on it though, because you could be right.

also the part that I have name recognition here is a fantasy in itself:rolleyes:

Going by your description, this may not be the "typical" sci-fi/fantasy story but it sounds like it has enough fantastic elements, magic specifically, that it could be there. Also, as I said, sci-fi/fantasy as description isn't about sex, so that gives you a lot of leeway, I think.

Michael Moorcock's Elric series is one example (and my favorite) of a dark sf/f series, and I'm sure there are others. That's definitely more typical sword-and-sorcery fantasy but again, fantasy is a vague descriptor so I don't see why your witches wouldn't qualify.

This is the same problem I have with posting Rayne Falls here. Theres a bisexual lead. Im looking foward to reading it. Inspire me to breath life in that stale gothic romance I was writing.

There's always the 'Erotic Couplings' cat. I've put some diverse plot stories there that have done just fine. :D
