GOP pushes back on raising minimum wage

Starting wages in North Dakota are pretty good.

That's where that picture is from I couldn't pull the picture from another website for the one in Texas without get a x here but it's the same they just can't get people.
As much Obama trying to take credit for it he has absolutely nothing to do with it all been happing on private land:D

Bull fucking shit....there are plenty of 300-500 dollar studio/1br shit shacks in EVERY city, the extra 300-500 bucks left over will buy a fuck load of Ramen and perfectly serviceable thrift shop/walmart clothes.

Given a 40 hr work week of course.

I have done it....it fucking sucks ass but it's livable....you know what I did? I got a better fucking job. ;)

I've seen you reach into the bag of being an absolute dumb fuck, but now you just pulled the biggest pile of shit out of your ass.

Also retake math.

I started a min wage, my math/intelligence is good enough to do a far cry better than that and secure myself a bitchin' retirement before 30 with the added perk of sending the poor folks and their pocket holding bleeding heart bitches like you to the fucking moon. "ITS NOT FUCKIN' FAIR!! I HAVE A RIGHT TO HIS STUFF!! A HUMAN RIGHT TO IT YOU FUCKING CAPITALIST PIG!!!" and that is good enough for me ;)

If I may inject a splash of personal realism into a batch of impersonal speculation...

I work M-Sa, 0800-1800; that's 60 hours.

I make $30/dy; that's $3/hr.

This month, with its total of 28 days...

...I will work and be paid for 24 of them; $30x24=$720.

I will pay $275 for the roof over my head this month...

...and $30.35 for the pleasure of seeing evesdream's gorgeous tatas; that's $305.35 in total financial obligations for this month.

So, when you subtract $305.35 from $720...

...I have $414.65 this month to live on, or $14.81/dy - that's it.

I have no other financial income or obligations, I have no savings, I have no health insurance...

...all I must do is feed and clothe myself on that $14.81/dy this month.

It's going to be truly tight, and I might not be able to make my rent until Sunday, March 3...

...but the Internet bill will be paid this Friday the 15th at the latest, because there's no way in h3ll I'm taking any chance of missing what evesdream might post next.
Damn dude! How many ex-wives do you have?

Right

Hey pay up mother fucker I win:D
Look two post before you:D

The over/under is two weeks and I take the under.;)
I like my calculator better than his. It gives me an extra $2.19 per day to bribe the warden to let me post here for free. After lock down.

You should get some rest. You have a 12 hr day ahead of you for $30 and you're only going to get $14.81.

Can't read real well, can you, Johnny Bob?

The lupus must be seizing-up the last of the few brain cells you ever had...

Guess what? The price of food is, nowadays, a function of the price of gasoline. And so are practically all other prices.

^^^ dumb fuck lib advocates the taxing of big oil into oblivion ...."We need higher min wag to cover the insane cost of living now!! WAHHHHH!!!!"

Hey KO raise min wage to 60 /hr .....businesses will totally just eat that cost like the big oil did, it wont drive inflation at all making ANOTHER min wage a total fucking wash. ;)

Yea...stick it to "tha man" lol you do know it only hurts poor people more when you do that kinda thing right? Wait I forgot my lib logic hat, NUH UHA...bidnizz eat that cos out of the goodness of their hearts, they don't pass it on to the consumer.

The cost of food and almost everything else is a function of the cost of gasoline and several other basic factors, including the cost of labor. When you increase the cost of labor, the prices of almost all products go up.

big oil consists of some of the dirtiest, greedy, power hungry, cutthroat, uncaring bunch of mother fuckers you've ever met. a few weeks after the valdez oil spill, the big wigs were drinking martinis, snorting coke and laughing about the problems. their pockets never felt a pinch.

look at the connection between big oil and big pharma. same fucking difference.

NUH UHHHHHHHA!!! Companies eat those cost in never never land where KO lives.

Botany boy is whining about people living off the government while he has no job, grows pot and lives off the government because he sucked in combat and took a few to the dome.

Since when was farming for an income not a job? is it not right up there with prostitution and ranching as far as the most OG triple OG employment one can get?

And thanks for the paychecks....after not touching them for a couple more years without HC cost to worry about I should be able to get a obnoxiously bitchin' house and property. 50k a year stacks up quick when you have no bills!!

Acceptable risk. It's not provable anyhow. Prices didn't drop drastically under Bush nor raise dramatically under Obama for obvious reasons (OBama's black!) but we should think things will be different this time.

See I don't blame the POTUS though....nor any one side, there is PLENTY of blame to go around. Proof is in the pudding though....inflation is just a cruzin on up.

So let's stick it big oil again and raise min wage....that will help (fuck the poor people harder than they already are) !!

I call bullshit. For one, your narrative is that increased cost of labor is paid for by employers using fewer workers. Now you're saying that's not the case and it's passed on in higher prices? Pick a narrative and stick with it.

Secondly, minimum wage has gone up on a federal and state level many times and prices never increased with those bumps. Nor did hiring slow with those bumps. There's nothing to say that your prediction will start being true now.

Thirdly, if that theory is correct then prices would decline over time as minimum wage is set while inflation increases. Basically minimum wage decreases over time since it's not attached to inflation so...
