I mostly got into the show since it was somewhat Whedon-esque... and the muscle car and classic rock love. I'm glad kids are getting educated on what real music is when they watch that show.

Anyway she simply saw some dead Iraquis, and they hadda send her home for medical discharge and disability retirement from the state. I laughed my ass off. People thought I was cruel but it seemed bizarre and absurd to me, based on my war service.

Oh no it's totally cool...I know I do. Difference is like you said though...learning how to re-adjust. All the same adaptive tools I used to get into and survive all that bullshit got me out of it. And if someone needs a therapist to point them in the right direction I wouldn't bash them for it at all...totally encourage it.

But there is a good percentage of them that are simply malingering pussies playing the 'poor me' card looking for attention due more so to mommy issues than war issues.

Christ on a stick...doesn't even shock me, we had a female E4 on this transport convoy squeeze off a 5 round burst of 50 cal into a berm when an IED went off, she was the only one who fired b/c there were no bad guys anywhere to be seen....Bronze star with a V , purple heart for smoke inhalation and E5 stripes waiting for her on the FOB.

Meanwhile our medic who should have gotten a silver star for being the soul defender of the CCP (casualty collection point) with a 249 WHILE saving several lives doing his doc thing a week earlier (why our 14 or 15 man platoon was on escort duty till fresh meat showed up). Downgraded to an ARCOM...he was just doing his job.

The Corps just naturally weeds them out. PI never changes! This is true for those that went before me and those that follow.
