Still, I had a lot of fun with that story and probably will do a sequel to it for next year.

How can you tell many sweeps there were for a story anyway? Comparing daily snapshots of votes/scores??

Yep. If the number of votes goes down I assume a sweep has occurred. Not totally reliable because during the day more votes might arrive.

No my dear ogggy it doesn’t disprove my ‘constant’ assertions. The reality is that the THEMED Contests LITEROTICA runs constantly cough up winners that anyone with a brain knows aren’t the choice of the LITEROTICA reading public.

And the final nail in the coffin came when LAUREL awarded darkboy a prize for the “least read” story in the contest a contest or two back. Even the strongest defenders of LAUREL shook their heads at that one.

And so more SciFi, NH and Romance stories win while the most popular categories on the site are shut out yet again. I’d suggest you look at the vote and view totals of the entries and then tell me the most popular stories won. Sorry oggy even in merry olde England that one doesn’t wash.

One of the most interesting aspects to the choice of the final three winners is the decision LAUREL made not to allow the shameless one to get the first prize. So she hiked up the recent MANU Award winner over him at the very last second.

And who can blame her? Mind you she didn’t go far enough! The author himself reported that over 100 illegal votes were swept from his story. As did the third place guy. Can you imagine a system where people caught cheating are rewarded with prizes? Some 40% of the shameless one’s votes were swept. In most areas of life you don’t get rewarded for cheating, especially on this scale.

But of course this is LITEROTICA…

Which is why A.I.R. exists and has proven so popular… in spite of all the old timer, AHland sniping…

You know, given the amount of time ace is spending arguing with lovergirl (ytcc) these days, it just seems that our pilot’s ability to reason is slowly eroding. I mean at one time he generally made sense (even if it was in a preppy, momma’s boy sort of way).

Now he issues these bizarre announcements that even the simplest of minds immediately recognize as intellectual dishonesty. As bullshit.
