The Rules By Peter_Carsten:

It does if you are speaking out against those in power.

Nope. Sweden is the world's oldest and most successful experiment in socialism, and their free speech laws are pretty similar to those in America. Even communists aren't necessarily restrictive of speech, though most communist countries tend to steer toward totalitarianism.

For the record, I do not like either system.

Hast etwas geschehen? Hast Laurel und Peter gesprochen?

Ja, haben sie.

Three of us, engaged in a discussion with a fourth, still got scolded for doing this in a unappropriate way (we were *), but strangely, the fourth was trying to keep it going today...

Translation: Three against one, defaming and provoking a row.
The amount of incorrect statements and changing-of-minds shows that there's- as usual- no interest in a real exchange, but an endless debate got started, in which the goal was to diss 'Kater001' as much as possible.

We were defending the over-18-rule, and the fourth wanted us to say, that by doing so, we were against free-speech.

But all posts are still in the thread they were posted in, so, yes, a change for the good.

(sorry, found a mistake, had to change appropriate in inappropriate...)

"....Socialism, on the other hand, is a highly centralized system, with political and economic power concentrated in very few hands. Freedom of speech in the Socialist bloc is all the more restricted where all causes must bend to the Communist doctrine....."

Well, it sounds like it's getting better, little by little.

Es scheint besser, Zoll um Zoll. Vorwärts immer (wo ist die Katz? :)).
