Stop playing into that morons bullshit, you're a dipshit for even engaging with it.

Americans probably kill more Americans than the Taliban does to Pakistanis.

Americans are the last people on earth to be pointing the finger about being ignorant.

It's ok to say Bidin, I like you and I don't like Turner and I'm disappointed that you converse with him.

I like you too, and will take your opinions under advisement.

See how that PC shit works?

By engaging in it, we make ourselves appear to be spineless yes-(wo)men and invalidate our own being.

Annoying as hell, isn't it?

We have allowed ourselves to be string-halted by the public policy of political correctness. Heaven forbid someone be offended. If the Muslims want to be seen as a peaceful people as a whole, then they need to bridle their extremist factions and either rein them in, or eradicate them entirely.

Unless and until, we realize that PC has become a tool for muzzling the opinions of the population here in this country, these, and other atrocities, will continue unabated. We need to wake up and start using our voices. Open discussion will get us further on all subjects, than this "oh people may take that wrong, so we shouldn't say it" strategy which leads to impasses and quagmires.
I could not agree with you more on all that. Easier said than done though.

The US and other countries outside the middle east has tried, for decades, to unite them unsuccessfully. Bottom line is that they would much rather wage war among themselves and tell outsiders to fuck off and leave them be when we interrupt with our own policies and demands. We have our own personal agendas to impose upon them. We should simply extract ourselves from that part of the world and leave them to their own devices. Whenever we do try to help, we are criticized by the ones who beg for our military, political, and humanitarian assistance.

The US has too much on its' plate on a global scale. We need to focus more on matters at home and try keeping our noses out of the affairs of Muslim countries.

The one question America must ask itself is, "Do we want foreign countries planting themselves in the US to impose their will upon us?" I think not.

Maaaybe I know this and maaybe I don't mind.
Maaaaybe this is a good topic.

Maaaaybe this is a good topic.

The only thing that will do away with their millenniums-long history of attempting extinguish one another, is to allow them to do so. Sans our money and sans our intervention. Conversely, If they want and accept our money, they accept our intervention and do things our way. period. How many of us continue to bail out family or friends indefinitely? There comes a point when we say to them, "Look I've bailed your ass out time and again and you keep screwing up, so from now on if I give you money, you do things my way".

We shouldn't treat countries looking for handouts/assistance from our county's pocketbook any differently than we do family and friends looking for handouts/assistance from our own pocketbooks.

Officer Has Career Destroyed for Acknowledging Islamic Enemy

How much success would we have had in World War II if politically servile top brass had punished military officers for failing to whitewash Nazi ideology? The answer sheds light on our current difficulties:

During a press briefing, Army General Martin Dempsey, President Barack Obama’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, publicly lambasted Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Matthew Dooley, a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a highly decorated combat veteran. His reason: The course on Islamic Radicalism which LTC Dooley was teaching at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) of the National Defense University was offensive to Muslims, according to a statement released on Monday by officials from a public-interest law firm in Michigan. …

“General Dempsey characterized LTC Dooley’s course as “totally objectionable,” and ordered all material offensive to Islam scrubbed from military professional education within the JFSC and elsewhere. In addition, LTC Dooley was fired from his instructor position and given an ordered negative Officer Evaluation Report (OER) — the death-knell for a military career,” according to Thomas More [Law Center] officials.

The actions against LTC Dooley follow a letter to the Department of Defense dated October 19, 2011 signed by 57 Muslim organizations demanding that all training materials offensive to Islam and Muslims be purged and the trainers disciplined.

LTC Dooley’s primary thought crime: acknowledging that the USA is fighting a war with Islam. He was denounced to the authorities for this crime by a Muslim soldier, who is fighting us from within on behalf of an enemy with whom Western Civilization has been locked in a death struggle since long before America was founded.

According to a Law Enforcement Examiner source, it’s believed the complaining soldier, whose identity is being protected, may be a pawn of some of the Muslim groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) or Muslim Advocates, who are currently suing the New York City Police Department.

A Pentagon spokesman stated earlier this year that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta was deeply upset with a course that promulgates the notion the United States is at war with Islam.

“This politically correct nonsense would be laughed at if we had a reality check now and then. On the one hand, the [overwhelming] majority of terrorist attacks worldwide are perpetrated by radical Muslims who actually apply the teachings of the Koran. Anyone who studies the history of Islam, especially within the last two hundred years will discover what America faces is not new,” said the counterterrorism source.

Maybe Dooley is wrong. Maybe, under Barack Hussein Obama, America is not at war with Islam. But only the most clueless fool would deny that Islam is at war with us.

Why the Taliban Fears Teenage Girls

Pakistan is a beautiful country that often bleeds with the most horrible news. Yesterday was no exception, as word spread that Malala Yousafzai, a 14-year-old girl and well-known advocate for female education, had been shot in the head and neck on her way home from school. No one was surprised who was behind the vicious attack on the ninth-grader. The Pakistani Taliban quickly took responsibility, claiming she was guilty of “promoting Western culture in Pashtun areas.” According to another girl injured in the attack, Taliban gunmen stopped their school bus. A militant asked which girl was Malala, and then opened fire.

Even in a place that has experienced no shortage of violence, like the Swat Valley in northwest Pakistan where Yousafzai lives, yesterday’s attack was met with disbelief. The young Pakistani activist made a name for herself when she began blogging about life under the Taliban for BBC Urdu at age 11. The Pakistan government awarded her its first National Youth Peace Prize last year. After the attack, Yousafzai was airlifted to a hospital in Peshawar. As of Wednesday morning, surgeons had removed the bullet from her head and she was listed in stable condition. If she does indeed recover, Taliban militants promise they will try to kill her again.

Of course they do. A teenage girl speaking out for girls’ education is just about the most terrifying thing in the world for the Taliban. She is not some Western NGO activist who just parachuted into Pashtun country to hand out ESL textbooks. She is far more dangerous than that: a local, living advocate of progress, education, and enlightenment. If people like Yousafzia were to multiply, the Taliban would have no future.

It’s not just the symbolism of a young girl challenging their retrograde Islamist vision that should frighten them. The substance of her ideas is lethal, too. Studies suggest that educating girls is about the closest thing we have to a silver-bullet solution for countries suffering from poverty, instability, and general inequity—or, in other words, the very conditions that allow a group like the Taliban to thrive. The social returns from girls’ education in these places are astounding and consistently include higher household income, improved child nutrition, smaller family size, a more active civil society, and better local services. The benefits can be political as well. One survey of 100 countries found that educating girls encouraged a more participatory society, and hence made these places more receptive to democratic reform. And countries that become wealthier, safer, more stable, and civically active don’t offer much of a future for the medieval Islamist throwbacks who set out yesterday to kill Yousafzai. So we shouldn’t be surprised that she topped their target list. For the Taliban, an outspoken, freethinking 14-year-old girl is the beginning of the end.

Like I said in the post your responded to : The US and other countries outside the middle east has tried, for decades, to unite them unsuccessfully.
We are far beyond the point of bailing them out repeatedly. Why must we keep doing that repeatedly?

This is nothing new. Like I said, we have been doing this for decades. When do we stop sending troops over there to die? How much longer are we going to fund this with our tax dollars?

Are there any other countries as deeply embedded in the middle east as the US is for as many years as the US has been?
