There you go again, equating "age" with "wisdom".
I honestly think you are one of the top 4 dumbest son of a bitches on the General Board. I don't mean that as an insult, just an observation. I can't recall the last time you offered an original insight.
And yet you still thought "LongPenStroke" was a good and clever choice for a screen name.I highly doubt that. I have two advanced degrees from one of the most respected, although conservative, universities in the nation.
In 2010, NPR revenues totaled $180 million, with the bulk of revenues coming from programming fees, grants from foundations or business entities, contributions and sponsorships.[18] According to the 2009 financial statement, about 50% of NPR revenues come from the fees it charges member stations for programming and distribution charges.[18] Typically, NPR member stations receive funds through on-air pledge drives, corporate underwriting, state and local governments, educational institutions, and the federally funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). In 2009, member stations derived 6% of their revenue from federal, state and local government funding, 10% of their revenue from CPB grants, and 14% of their revenue from universities.[18][24] While NPR does not receive any direct federal funding, it does receive a small number of competitive grants from CPB and federal agencies like the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce. This funding amounts to approximately 2% of NPR’s overall revenues.[18]

It's easy to see that whatever investment your parents made in your alleged education was a pitiful waste of their hard earned money. It's obvious you have two advanced degrees in Applied Naivete.

I don't have a problem with Rush, Tom Hartman or Ed Schultze being broadcast on AFN.
Of course not. Taxpayers funding right-wing propaganda is just your cuppa.
^^^remember, he is not a lib.![]()
The libs have no equivalent of Rush. He's a badass at what he does. If they had one, and he was broadcast to the troops on the taxpayers' dime, it would be an equally compelling argument.
But wait, sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you with logic again.
Logic, coward!
Of course you do mean it as an insult, you big windy failure in life.![]()
NPR is a big government promoting, liberally biased, government funded, propaganda mill who's ideas, philosophy, political points of view, couldn't sell a box of corn flakes or hold the interests of a vast majority of Americans, thus requiring government subsidy to survive in the marketplace of ideas. It's history is rife with accusations of bias and they are known to make their commentators tow the liberal line.
Why should I have to answer it? It's obviously the perception of the government itself, and many others, including UCLA and the University of Missouri, who did studies on the issue and found the same thing. It's been the subject of one congressional investigation after another and amply testified to.
The fact that you don't have the same perception doesn't mean it isn't there or that multitudes of people are wrong about it. You can have your opinion of reality, and I can have mine.

After the hot mic caught them playing politics and the firing of Juan Williams, we know they are only serving the Democratic part of our nation, so why should those of us in their crosshairs be tapped for funding without getting so much as a tote out of them...
The big lesson for me [working at NPR] was the intolerance of so-called liberals. I say intolerance because I grew up as a black Democrat in Brooklyn, N.Y., and always thought it was the Archie Bunker Republicans who practiced intolerance. My experience at NPR revealed to me how rigid liberals can be when their orthodoxy is challenged. I was the devil for simply raising questions, offering a different viewpoint, not shutting my mouth about the excesses of liberalism — a bad guy, a traitor to the cause.
Juan Williams
This is nice, but it really doesn't prove anything. What I view as conservative, someone else might view as liberal. There is no way to truly measure how liberal or conservative anyone or anything is unless you are using text book definitions.
Let's be honest, just because someone puts something in a title, doesn't mean that that is what it is. North Korea calls itself a republic, but in truth they are a dictatorship. The USSR called itself socialist, and we referred to it as communist, but in truth it was neither, it, too, was a dictatorship.
People. governments and organizations can label anything they want, but that equals to judging a book by it's cover and not actually comparing it to what it really is.
This is why I ask what people view as conservative and liberal, everyone's opinion is different.
How do conservatives feel about Rush Limbaugh being broadcast on the Armed Forces Network?
Has any conservative here ever said what news network they believe is middle of the road?
