Nope but God of War clone is generally code for, good if not great, game play. I'll see if I can ste. . .barrow it from a friend. Baring that I might just buy it's gotta be four plus years old cus it came out around the same time as Soul Caliber 4.

Woo my disc drive came today. I'll put it in after work tonight. I really hope this one works.

WOOO IT WORKS!!!....I think. Put the new drive in this morning, but I had a guest over who is still sleeping so I cant plug it in and see if the ps3 is reading the disc. It is accepting it though so its a step up.

Yaaay! Have fun. I'm on my third Dragon Age run through. Thought I could do better the second time through...I was wrong. But...THIS TIME! Yeah...this time...

Gonna be a long day.

Reci.

I have the best husband ever.

While I was sleeping, he cracked my PSP and loaded up a bunch of emulators and all my old favorite games.

Now I can play Zelda: LTP on my PSP whenever I want! :D

That is awesome! Give that man a huge gamer hug from me. Good for him!

That is true love, for sure! It's nice when the significant other understands our love of gaming, and enables it...

:D

When I woke up and he showed me, I cried.

I am totally giving him that hug from you though, just because I think your hugs are great and should be distributed to as many people as possible. :D

He's really amazing. I've never met anyone whose interests in gaming matched mine so well. I never found anyone before him that played as much as I did or liked them as well as I did, until I met him. Talk about compatibility!

Oh, I'm so glad. Same with me and Ulaven. Always new games always new stuff to talk about, always winces and screams and laughter with stories.

No judgment about time spent online...

Yeah, call it a hobby or a fetish or whatever, but it's great to share with someone who can otherwise take care of themselves and get to work on time and not treat it like a drug.

Yeah, mine doesn't play (I don't count Zynga crap on Facebook), but she understands. The nicest thing she ever did, gaming-wise, was when I ran with a raiding guild in WoW. We had a Tuesday night thing, which I told her about. She then proceeded to order pizza, bring it to me while I was getting set up, shooed the kid and dog out of my office, and told me to hollar if I needed anything, and to have a good run.

Awesomeness.

That's good. Support is key. Significant other aggro is to be avoided.

Yeah, no kidding. Nothing like getting critted by the spouse/SO. Causes persistent damage over time, too...

:D

My husband and I often play the same game, but over years just drift off and do our own thing. We played the earliest online RPG's together and Everquest and Warcraft together...

But eventually there are so many games to be played and so many possibilities to solo that we don't really need each other in the games, but we call each other over to the monitors to show the best parts.

That's where she doesn't get it. For example, while I was rocking through Mass Effect 3, I'd call her over for an epic, emotional cutscene, and she'd smile, pat me on my head, and nod sympathetically, but not understanding why it was moving.

It's okay, she gets the same way about horses and riding. :D

Heh. We like cooking and gaming here. one of our best anniversaries was spent making Kung Pao chicken together and playing Guitar Hero :)

I dont think its live action, but rather computer generated.

Also. Final fantasy spirits within was bad.

Advent children

Epic

I was never into the tomb raider games, but the reboot has me really excited.

Remy

I enjoyed Spirits Within more than Advent Children but then, I've never played any of the Final Fantasy games so there's no Fanboi in me to tell what's been done right and what's way off.

Tomb Raider could've been done either way and I'd have loved it. Hot chick finds lost treasures and shoots guns at monsters. Can't really go wrong there.

I would prefer Halo to be CGI but I'll take whatever they give us.

I'm a massive fangirl. Could take or leave Spirits Within but I didn't think it deserved to get panned. It just wasn't Final Fantasy.

Advent Children though, that one makes me cry and laugh every time. The little inside jokes and quirks and the beautiful animation. Awesome.

Tomb Raider was pretty good. Not great. Lara was never a really cute or sweet or vulnerable story.

Well, I'm in a privileged position of being in a minority female in a male dominated area.

Gamer chicks get the pick of the best guys.

yeah, yeah, rub it in why don't ya! :D

Just don't fire up vent, or teamspeak...I've heard horror stories from some girl gamers about what happens then....

My husband and son do that and I wouldn't have trouble with it...except that I'm not interested, really.

I'm a determined soloist in roleplay games that just require me. I'm not into raiding and the only times I've participated in a raid I've been grateful to not have a microphone because I'd have spent too much time cracking up over how serious people were about pretend stuff.

They get a microphone and then spend most of that time telling people not to talk...

Women have done okay though, mostly it just surprises the hell out of guys that their badass guild leader is a chick. I approve.

Was FF:SW an official Final Fantasy or did it just share names with the series? Didn't seem to have any relation to the series but of course I would have no way of knowing.

I had no problem with the animation. I thought all were very well done.

I think Tomb Raider is more for the nerd boys than girls.
