I've used mikes for PC and Xbox stuff, and it varies. And yeah, the uber-serious people kinda make me laugh. I mean, I went to war for real, so squalling about pretend battles is pretty funny. I do the solo rpg thing, too, but am also into some of the MMOs, but haven't found one I love yet...

Yes! I like to have fun, but my attitude is often not appreciated as I'm busy messing around and enjoying myself and my pet will take the wrong path and I'm laughing and making people angry. I can't take it seriously, but I see no need to force my company on those who do.
I have an excellent setup on Warcraft and Everquest II so I wander back and forth. One gets an expansion, I go back, the other gets an expansion, I go back. Right now it's EQII time. Played Warcraft since it came out and EQII since 2005, so it's just nice to come home to a fully stocked guild and all the bells and whistles.

Yeah, I walked away from Warcraft...just too much of a timesink....and I played on Moonguard, which had its own issues for a long time. Trying TOR now, and of course ME1, 2, and 3.

It's true though. Our sexual currency is matched by our L33T skills, and it makes us highly desirable mates.

Yeah, I walked away from Warcraft...just too much of a timesink....and I played on Moonguard, which had its own issues for a long time. Trying TOR now, and of course ME1, 2, and 3.
I'm lucky in another way, I work at home on the computer and I have a nice system with two monitors. One for work, one for play.
Also why I mostly solo. I'm afk all the time. I'm never >just< gaming. I'm too settled into a system of permanent multitask.

He was going to play DA2, but I got obsessed. Finished one runthrough then said "Okay, anybody else want a try?" I figured they could finish while I was replaying DA1 and setting up the best character to load into the DA2 import.
But that only took me four days and by that time I figured they'd finish, but he'd only gotten about 20 minutes into the game. I hijacked it back.
Now on third runthrough. Contemplating fourth.
It might be a while.

Ha! Was thinking about reloading DA and running it again.....hmmmm
With all of the expansions it's fun. I hadn't played Awakenings, and that has a character as a companion that's also a companion in DA2. Loading import sets into the expansion and DA2 gives you different outcomes.
First time I played Awakenings I had just picked a random character and Wynne just about spit on me and Alastair didn't remember me. Ut oh. Lady mad. Man amnesiac.
Setting up a good DA1 outcome was worth it. I might even go back through and rerun it again and load it into both expansion and DA2 also to see what changes.
Second time Wynne was nice and Alastair said he married an Invincible Goddess. Muuuuch better!

She's adorable. She's always my main choice if I play a male character. She shows up in DA2 also tangentially a few times.
You don't play the warden, but you do get to meet characters based on who you...well...left alive or were nice to in the original. Alastair, Zevran, Leliana, Teagan...
Once I met Alastair and he'd said "Loghain is unfortunately still alive..."
My first thought is "No way, I never left that son of a bitch alive once. A few times I fed him to a dragon and left you as a broken drunk but...uh...yes your majesty."
That's why loading my universe is so much better!
