Woman killed after hug caused cop's gun to fire

Police say a woman was killed when she hugged an off-duty police officer in Detroit, which caused his gun to fire, fatally wounding her. Adaisha Miller was celebrating the weekend before her 25th birthday at an outside party when the tragic incident happened at around 12.30 a.m. According to police, Adaisha hugged the officer from behind, which caused his "holstered weapon to accidentally discharge." She died in hospital after the bullet punctured her lung and hit her heart.

Either it wasn't properly holstered, the holster was crap, or she pulled it out of the holster.

How does a weapon in a holster go off from a hug? Was it fully cocked on fire and half way hanging out to expose the trigger well but not fall out and he didn't notice? Which then somehow got something snagged in it hard enough to pull the trigger?

Seeing as she was shot in the chest it obviously was and over the shoulder type holster.....idk of any that point the weapon forward, every one of them points the muzzle back and or/down just like hip and drop leg's all point the muzzle down....for safety reasons.

It happens before the coffee takes effect....I still don't see how a holstered weapon went off from a hug. I could throw every gun I own against the wall right now lock'ed and loaded and not one of them will go off.

The cop was either severely negligent or he merc'ed her in cold blood and is lying about it, either way I hope they hang him out to dry for it.
