Not the primary role of 37ARRS (Vandenberg AFB), it was principally to clear launch areas for missile test, and to rescue those on the Pacific coast in distress, but yea, I was on missions to interdict those coming into the area off the California coast via Air Force helicopter support of the Border Patrol.

Just to be clear, there were probably only three or four such missions during my time there, it was not the primary responsibility of my unit, but it was not the position of the 37ARRS to question a mission tasking, only to serve the mission request.
