What was wrong with the season premiere? Pam's line about the Walmart sweatsuit was golden, the sex scene b/t Eric and his "sister" was hot, there was lots of blood...good stuff!

the sex scene was a sex scene and it was ruined by the cheese that came after it, but the main problem was the retarded jason sub plot. not the gay preacher bit (which was reasonably amusing), but the generic relationship drama nonsense with jessica. god, i hate that shit.

Dammit, I hadn't thought about it, but I totally agree. The Rock Band scene was awkward and uncomfortable to watch. Definitely could have done without that and the "girlfriend fucker" scene at Merlotte's.

exactly. i had to stop watching in the middle of the rock band scene and come back later. i really do hate that kind of shit. as soon as jason came to the door of bill's house i wanted to punch someone in the throat.

I'm loving the gay lovesick vamp Steve Newlin, though. And Pam is always golden.

i just hope they actually do something with it. they probably will, but if they don't they're a bunch of assholes.

Oh! And I can't wait to see what Christopher Meloni's character is like!

In this thread I will admit watching this stupid ass show. My wife watches it is no longer an excuse. The first two season my eyes barely left the book in my hand except to occasionally role my eyes or see tits. Now I am actually slightly in to it and can almost tell you the names of the characters. I am not sure what I would rather do....Punch the blond in the back of the head or fuck the red head.

huh. i had not heard about that. might be good from what i just read. hopefully it won't be too hard to not think of him as eliot.

What are your thoughts on the subplot with Terry and the new military guy? I can't figure out where that came from or where they want it to lead.

Me either, except that it seems the source of the fire last season wasn't Mavis's ghost or Mikey, after all.

Right.

I know you prefer the show to the books. I do, too, but I enjoy the books in their own right, and sometimes I get confused when the show veers so far away from the original plots. Also, I think I like the Tara character better in the books.

I do get confused sometimes. But I think TV Tara is way better, and so is Lafayette! I wish Bubba had made it to the TV version, though. :( And I wonder if Quinn is ever going to show up?

Quinn has to make it. It'd be so much fun to have a tiger on the show! And TB's Lafayette is soooo superior to the books' character. I'm so, so, so glad that the writers fleshed out his character and made him such an important part of the story.

My only complaint is I've fucking hated Tara from episode one. She finally manages to go three episodes without pissing me off, dies and the fucking cunt can't even keep that straight. Fucking hell she better be a boss this season.

Jason/Jessica is only annoying because Jessica is stubbornly refusing to show off the girls which is how this show works. Blood/Tits. . .oh we're pretending we have a story/tits/tits/blood.

I also hate everybody right now since I seem to be the only person who never wanted to see Russel ever again.

Because she is white?!!!

Racist!!!

Considering a large part of my hatred for her comes from her spending all of season one and two doing nothing but being pissed at Bill for owning slaves and not grovelig before her for "crimes" he'd committed before her grandmothe was born yeah. If that part of her charachter went away when she turned white then glory glory. I might not like her at that point but I probably wouldn't have been begging that creepy vamper from season 3 to rip off her head quite so much.

Seriously? I LOVE to hate Russell!

Russell was fun for a little bit. I think my big problem with him is how this (and most) vampire fiction deal with relative power. I don't mind that he's a bad ass but from everything we've seen if every vampire we know teamed up and attacked Russel they'd STILL need to catch him off gaurd and the odds aren't against him even four or five on one.

I did however enjoy that whole ripping off a man's head on live television bit though. That was pure awesome.

It was! "Now back to the weather". He's so gleefully evil, I get a kick out of it.

No date has been given for when season seven of Doctor Who will be broadcast, all they've said is "late" 2012. My guess is September.
