'The Rant' and 'Second Chances' both were posted today. They are both cheating wife/revenge-type stories, not really erotic at all. The Rant was weird and original, though it needed some additional proofreading. Second Chances was a reimagining of a previously-written story by another author. It was very involving. If you are into LW tales, you've probably already read them. If you normally don't visit LW, these 2 might be worth your time.

BTT, you beat me. I was definitely going to comment on The Rant. 1thinkingman had a very original point of view, and brought it off, bar the appalling mechanicals. The tack he took was far outside the usual LW box, for all that the plotline as it developed was trite. It was a funny, offbeat, memorable story. True, he got some trollery, but that goes with the territory.

But he did comment on his own story, remarking that he proofread it five times IIRC. If he did indeed proofread it five times, that is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he shouldn't proofread it even once, but get a copy editor, if not an all-round editor. As I commented to his story, Dale Earnhardt Jr. need not know where the gas tank is or how to change a tire. That's what pit crews are for. So let it be with authors.

Fair point. Trollery is a way of life in LW.

BTT, now if trollery were confined to LW only, it would be bad, but not as bad as the spread of trollery to other genres. That said, we've beaten the trollery horse to death, back to life and back to death again, on the various Lit BBs too many times to count. I have nothing new to say about it.

The trolls seem to have left GM alone, all the more reason to write there. :D

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad of that. Trolling is ridiculous. I have to say though that I thought GM would be a target. There's plenty of men out there who are still appalled by it. So I would think it would have its share of Flaming.

Get it, Flaming!

Sigh, what can I say, its early.

I enjoy looking at the top lists, even in categories I never read. I just like stats.

Looking at the average top scores for 30/6 months and all time.

I have come to one conclusion. There is only one category that NEVER gets trolled and its NOn-Human.

I have never seen so many 4.90's in any other category. The entire all time list of 250 doesn't go below the mid 4.8's

Next to them I think romance, might be the next "softest"

LW is the all time troll magnet, but I've noticed non-con takes a beating as well.
