The first LW story I am searching for is the Indecent Proposal one where the couple are offered a large sum (say two million dollars) and the LW would like to accept but the MC does not. He makes clear they would not survive as a couple if she accepted, and they refuse. Sometime later the MC discovers a secret stash or account with the two million in it, and concludes she went behind his back and did the deed secretly. I cannot remember the author’s name and would love to find this story again, plus any suggestions for other good Indecent Proposal type stories would be very welcome.
The second story was about a soldier who received a Dear John letter from the LW while on a tour of duty. He is heartbroken but lets her go. I am unsure of this part but I think I recall them meeting once when he returns home for a funeral, but I’m not sure. Subsequently he marries a lovely wife, who I think was a daughter of a senior officer. They have a very happy marriage with two children. The LW unfortunately dies in a car crash. The MC later meets the ex LW at a hospital where if memory serves, one of his children was being treated. The ex LW has matured and regrets her unfaithfulness and tries to show remorse by helping the child. Reconciliation eventually ensues. Any help finding these wonderful stories would be very gratefully received, thank you.
