I don't hold out much hope, frankly. If a decrim referendum can't pass in California of all states, where can it pass?
But let's discuss it anyway.

Remember to vote in the poll! (No really, I had a talk with the Jerry Brown's office, a vote on the Lit can overrule anything. It's in the state constitution. Mind you, I had to get 'em pretty wrecked to put it in there . . .)
The downside, of course, is that it might make the American obesity epidemic even worse.
Enough about SSM. Should pot be legalized?
I don't understand the connection between these issues. Why not say "Enough about trade policy with China. Should pot be legalized?" Randomly linking unrelated issues doesn't make sense.
The munchies would be the only drawback.
I'm all for it![]()
Slow down, dude, you're soaking that up like a sponge . . .
Blame the Democrats; they're against free enterprise. They don't want to legalize weed and lose all those government jobs created by it's illegality. Police, prosecutors, judges, court stenographers, court officers, parole officers, probation officers, corrections officers, correctional staff, public defenders.
Actually, blame the prison industrial complex. Private prisons lobby hard to keep drugs illegal, otherwise they'd go out of business.
The private prison lobby also had a hand in drafting Arizona's racist immigration law, which I believe was the work of Republicans.
