I could never run a cash register, my tills would never come out right. LOL

I can't be a cashier but I can clean someone's butt. Doesn't bother me a bit.

What about you? What work are you not cut out for?

I toilet people for a living. It is a part of my job.

And you wouldn't trade that to sit on your ass and ring up pringles? I think I'm starting to understand why you have so many rough days. You've got the worse job on earth and can't do a nicer job.

I actually love my job.

driving a bus

a) i can't drive
b) it'd drive me insane batshit totally same day the way the people ring the goddamned bell: ok, you want the bus to stop at the next stop, you ring the bell - it takes ONE PERSON to do that, then the damned sign lights up telling everyone the damned bus is S T O P P I N G. this does not prevent any number of other fucking morons from keep pressing the bell to ask the driver to stop at the stop they're already about to stop at

ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Nobody could do anything but feel demeaned by toileting people. Sure it might be how you pay the bills and thus keep from starving to death but in a just world this is what we'd do with people in prison for life. We'd make them toilet people.

As an ex-farmer, there are many things I know how to and can do adequately.

They do not include emrgency medical. Bleeding, screaming people make me so ill I can't function.

Dead bodies and dried blood don't bother me, nor does decomposition. They can't suffer anymore.

I get a great deal of satisfaction from what I do for a living. I help people who can't help themselves.

So you couldn't do my job, it's no biggie.

don't talk such shit. srsly.

what pink does is a service to others incapable of doing this for themselves. what she does is offer them a little self respect as it's far better than soiling oneself as an adult. i think it is wonderful that people like pinkie exist with their altruistic attitudes.

you got in before i did. really, i hope you are as appreciated as you should be. :rose:

I could never do childcare or look after disabled/dementia patients.
I simply don't have the temperament for it.

And I think people who do this are clinical and it's no surprise they post threads about having shitty days. I'd post about having a shitty day every single day of my life if I had a shitty life.

You would cry to if happened to you!

You may not have a shitty day every day, but from what you've posted in this thread, you absolutely have a shitty life.

If nothing, your parents should be ashamed, both of you and for themselves.

caring. they are caring.
you do not get it at all.

no great surprises there.

Childcare would probably do me in.

Children past a certain age pretty much handle their own damn selves. I couldn't do un potty trained kids but after that you throw on what ever nick show is least obnoxious (or if you're lucky actully quality) and you listen for any screams that aren't laughter.

Jobs tht are caring and rewarding rarely if every have days shitty enough to qualify as "I need cheering up because my job sucks" deary. Those days in my experience are limited to shitty jobs that nobody should be doing in the first place but have to get done for one reason or another.

UMMMMM Do you have kids?

UMMMMM Do you have kids?

Nope. But I've been a care taker on multiple occasions. Lots of cousins like to put me in charge when they go on business trips. I've never had anything that really makes me think that 6-12 year olds don't just handle themselves and honestly it's mostly insulting to kids 13 and up to give them a care taker unless you're gonna be gone for more than a day.

Been a camp counselor a couple times too. Got make sure they don't drown themselves but still kids are quite a bit more reliable than we give them credit for.

Looking after my own kids as babies/toddlers was hard enough for me to do!
I always thought I was strange, because I seem to be missing the 'loving-being-a-mummy' gene... until I found that about 10% of mums feel the same way I did.
My daughter is about to become a mum, and she knows absolutely that this Nona is only ever going to babysit in a real emergency

I love kids, truly love them but that many in one room would drive me bonkers.
