Gun sales up, but fewer American household own guns

Thanks to Fox News and Hate Radio constantly insisting that "the Negro President is coming to take your gun", gun sales are at record highs in America.

Somewhat paradoxically, the number of households in America that own a gun are at a record low!

Gun owners today are overwhelmingly older white males, presumably bitter and overcompensating for something.

Here's an interesting statistic: 51 percent of all Americans think the government should have the right to limit the number of firearms a person can own.

What I find amusing is that people think polls are accurate and everyone buys guns from a Gun shop or other places where records are maintained.

Could be the increase of the % Households that are single mothers who typically do not buy or can afford a gun. But definitely there is a rise in the number of people who like me like a collection of different weapons for different purposes,

But is this the explanation we're looking for? The older, gun-happy cohort is dying off and being replaced by a cohort less-interested in owning firearms? And possibly less interested in gun collecting or owning multiple firearms for whatever reason?

Do the "gun folk" shoot at a range? If so, then having several guns just for range shooting is reasonable. Shooting guns is fun. Who owns just one gun?
