A few days ago I was chatting with some ladies in my building about the homeless shelter in town. One of the ladies is a self righteous / judgemental one. She works with victims of domestic violence and is very passionate about it.

I am a published author of BDSM erotica - mainly dealing with non consent. She actually told me I was perpetuating the problem, which lead to a long discussion she heard very little of.

She didn't seem to understand there are those of us who LIKE consentual non consent - nor did she understand what that meant. Instead she closed her mind and set a label that pissed me off :p

How do you get a discussion like that out from under your skin? This gal irritated me to no end and now she avoids me (thankfully).

This is funny. We were just discussing this topic in this thread.

I generally don't talk to people about shit that I think will piss them off. And I try not to let folk bother me with their close-minded stupidity. I mean, the only thing you can do is change your perspective and your reaction, you can't change her. Sometimes, people are stupid bitches. That's on them. They'll get better or they won't. Nothing you can do about it.

If she were right, you seem to be failing, because I neither have a dom nor am I being raped nearly enough.

You'll just have to accept the fact that not everyone will think like you.

Usually that happens in your late teens to early 20s. For some, its later. For others, it never happens.

When I think about you I touch myself.

Also...it's dick o'clock in this douchecanoe.

Tell her she has been a bad girl and you will continue the conversation after she confesses, concedes and accepts the proper correction.

Consensual non-consent. Heh. Jackass.

I did not click Luke's link, but it seemed as if it should be the "people with numbers in their name" thread. *heh*
