Obama’s 20-Year Pastor Rev. Wright Unleashed: “White Supremacy” Drives “World Policy,” Calls Thomas Jefferson A “Pedophile”…

I still find it amusing Obama claims he never heard any rants like this during the 20+ years he spent in Wright’s pews.

Via The Blaze:

• Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered three fiery sermons about faith, race and politics at Metropolitan Baptist Church in S.C.
• Wright said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas worships “some other God” outside of “Allah and Yahweh” (who the “same” he says)
• Obama’s former pastor called Thomas Jefferson “a pedophile”
• He sees “white supremacy” driving “world policy”
• Wright condemned the U.S. military, saying, “fighting for peace is like raping for virginity.”

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright became a household name during the 2008 presidential campaign. The fiery preacher, who was President Barack Obama’s pastor for two decades, has since retired from his position at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. However, he’s still an active figure in geopolitical and faith movements, as his bizarre commentaries often offend detractors and inspire intense debate.

Last week, Wright spoke at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia, as part of a week-long revival event. His controversial words took aim at Thomas Jefferson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the media and plenty of other targets

Rev. Wright, who is a convert from Islam and a former black nationalist, has in the past criticized anyone who questions Obama’s Christian faith. But his comments equating Allah and Yahweh are sure to stir up controversy for his former parishioner, a man who borrowed the title of one of his two autobiographies from a Wright sermon.

Rev. Wright’s theology is unusual, to say the least. Most Christians and Jews would argue that Allah found in the Koran represents a different figure from the Yahweh of the Bible. For a pastor to use an Easter sermon to equate them would be even more troubling to most Christians. To single out Justice Thomas for such personal criticism and scorn when the Supreme Court is deciding the fate of Obama’s signature legislation is troubling as well. The question is, does Barack Obama agree with the majority of Christians and Jews, or with the pastor whose sermons Obama credits with leading him to faith?

Obama has long claimed that while he sat in the pews of Wright’s Chicago church for two decades, he never heard his pastor say inflammatory remarks, but one of Wright’s Easter remarks echoes remarks that Obama is known to have heard and reacted favorably to. On Sunday, Wright sayd:

“The ignorance and arrogance of white supremacy have the movers and shapers of world policy living in a different world from people of color all together,” Wright raged on. “And the sooner you realize that the better off you’re gonna be.”

In his autobiography The Audacity of Hope, Obama quotes Wright saying something strikingly similar.

“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…That’s the world! On which hope sits!”

It was from that sermon that Obama drew the title to the book in which he quotes it. Additionally, one of Obama’s long-time political allies, the late Prof. Derrick Bell, bragged about enjoying harassing “white folks.”

Jeremiah Wright: Yes, Obama Heard My Radical Sermons For 20 Years…

And yet Obama will still tell you he never heard any of Wright’s leftist sermons.

“I’ve been preaching the same way since I was licensed to preach in 1959, ordained in 1967. Barack was in elementary school when I was ordained. CBS, ABC, MSNBC and Fox News spent $4,000 each buying 20 years of my sermons so they could hear what Barack Obama heard for 20 years.”

In 2008. when I posted Wrights speeches

I was (of course) attacked by among other VERMY SKYE, who said HE HAS FREE SPEECH rights, to which of course I said

Yes he does, and nowhere do I ever say he doesnt

I axed her

1-What she thought of the contents of the speeches

2-Where I had ever written he had NO free speech rights

Still waiting:rolleyes:

Excellent.

It's a perfect storm: an insincere, incompetent president and millions of naive supporters who NEVER question their dear leader. His target audience is the lowest common denominator who are unwilling or unable to think for themselves. It's easier to lie down and believe everything he says.

Obama can't run on his record. The only way he can win in November is scapegoating, lying, and deceiving, and he's off to a great start. His manufactured "Conservatives Against Contraception" scam is a perfect example. It's hard to believe there are living, breathing people who don't see through the steady stream of misinformation/disinformation coming from the WH.

Until recently I didn't think he could fool as many people as he did in 2008. I'm not so sure anymore.
