Watch for libs to suddenly advocate new power plants

I'm sure you could fast-track the process with a little help from your elected representatives.

You should have told that to the pipeline folks. Maybe they could have gotten the Keystone completed before Obama became president.

Shit happens.

The regs aren't approved yet. There's still time to get moving on your Chinese-style coal-fired power plant.

And never get a return on investment in this lifetime.

Your whole position is based on regulatory burden being passed on to the consumer. Now it's somehow not?

Which is it? You can't have it both ways.

That and a permit process so many years long that they cannot draw capital investment.

That wasn't the question at all. Are regulatory costs passed on to the consumer or are they eaten by the power company?

You have to pick one. No jumping back and forth when it suits your argument.

Why not? Vette's a huge fan of hip-hop.

I am a great fan of giving people what they demand and they demanded no more coal.

I agree with you, coal is dirty and needs to be shut down. Furthermore, our hydro plants are fucking up the fishies who are heading upstream. As for oil, the experts say if we extract all the oil in the U.S. land and ocean, it'll only last 6 months.... so fuck it.

As I see it, our only hope is Algae and fully inflated tires.

You can't see the sun?

I'm really sorry about your blindness but I'm impressed by your brail keyboard. Please tell me where I can acquire one.

We can't capture the suns rays, 'cause it'll cause global cooling.

Don'tchaknow..?..

There's geothermal. Who needs Yellowstone, anyways?

If the venture is too expensive to ever get off the ground, then no the regulatory costs won't be passed on to consumers. Because there won't be any consumers. There won't be any costs either, which means there will be no new electrical plants. Enjoy the rolling brownouts.

What do you think will happen?

1) The free market will go with the most profitable option, whether it be natural gas or coal.

2) The free market doesn't exist so there will be brownouts.
