I don't frequent the GB very much but lately have been seeing these outrageous posts by busybody. I am curious as to how the majority of members of Lit think about this person. The vile crap that spews from his/her mouth is unbelievabe. If this individual lived in most any other country besides the US he/she would not have the freedom to spout such filth. The name calling is so low. This person makes the Phelps clan of the Westboro Baptist Church in Ks look like saints.

So my question is to all members that read this post. If it were possible would you support the banning of this kind of individual? Does any one read and agree with the positions that this person takes? How could anyone in their right mind have these kind of outrageous thoughts much less write them down for all to read.

I've had busybody on ignore for about five years now. His posts are too crazy for me to bother with and when I didn't have him on iggy, my front page was often clogged up with his bs. But he won't be banned unless he breaks forum rules, so ignore is your friend. He's also far from the most offensive poster here.

You can tell most of the community has him on their ignore list by the speed with which his threads die and that replies are either by n00bs or poking fun at him.

Ingnoring's easy. There's manual - where you do the work - and there's robo - where - mommy does it. Most will ignore you manually - because you haven't fleshed out your role here enough yet to be irritating. They'll cross whatever bridge necessary if you ever become a player here.

I'm neither fan nor foe of Busybody re the content, but... as for dedication and provocation... he is a net contributor. Words here aren't dangerous. Words are the only renewable resource. Actions are dangerous, though. So, read him and be provoked or... read him and laugh or... read him and rally or... ignore him. Choose how you do though, for... even an offensive slugline thread title can impart an entertaining nugget of... data.
