I just don't think the opinion he gave amounts to hate speech. I feel that you can't disagree with anyone anymore and not be lableled a hater. I knd of feel the way Kirk does, but by no means do I hate anyone. And I didn't see anything in his position that he hated anyone either. This issue seems really sensitive, and I don't fully understand it.

Personally I respect him for sticking by his crazy beliefs. Fuck it, to thine own self be true.

His opinion of homosexuals, “unnatural,” “detrimental,” and “ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization”

I think he has the right to free speech, he can say and think whatever he wants. Just like everyone who disagrees can disagree as loudly as they want. *shrug* of course theres gonna be backlash, I think he expected it and is enjoying the spotlight, its a great way to shine the light on his opinions.

Pot, Kettle.

he does have free speech. he can say whatever the fuck he wants as long as it does not cause his followers to harrass homosexuals or hurt them.
there will always be plenty of heterosexuals around to make babies. with or without homosexuals, humanity will continue on.
i don't give a shit what people do in their bedroom as long as they are consenting adults. whatever shines your chrome..............
although, without modern science intervention, since gays cringe at sex with the opposite sex, homosexuality IS an evolutionary dead end.

Would calling all domestic partnerships "Civil Unions" solve the "marriage" issue. That would leave marriage to churches or religions and get the government out of the marriage business. I've always viewed my marriage in the context of my religion.
My friends ask me "Why do you care about gays getting married? How does it affect you? What possible impact does it have on you and your marriage." I tell them that there are a lot of things that go on that don't affect me, but are clearly wrong. I just think that is a selfish way of looking at the issue. The poor little girl who get caught in the crossfire of a drive by shooting in a poor neighborhood has absolutely no effect on me or my family, but I still feel sad for her and I hope the perpetrator gets justice. Should our world outlook be, "...as long as it doesn't affect me."

Of course homosexuality is unnatural. It won't sustain life.

Kirk Cameron is a small minded, stupid fucking bigot! If we are all "God's" children we should be loved and accepted unconditionally and he calls himself a Christian? He can fuck off!

I not understand the hostility. Ever notice how the homosexual community preaches tolerance, but they themselves are intolerant? I have, and have written extensively about it.

sort of. i've met a lot of lesbians who absolutely hate every man on the planet, even if you've never done anything to them, and accept them as is. they make fun of men, and practically act like they want to cut every mans balls off with a dull knife. it's like as if as young girls some boy pissed them off and they've held a vendetta on men ever since.
but gay men? hell, they seem to love hanging out with the women.

I've noticed that groups tend to be easily offended and fairly intolerant.

However, individuals tend to be rather accepting, by and large. I've had friends of all sorts.
When you accept a person for who and what he or she is, and extend them the basic respect and courtesy due to anyone, that person more often than not responds in kind.

But that's dealing with an individual, not a group.

Adam may have carved a hole in an apple and drilled it with his penis while Eve was napping.

Excuse me. Who the fuck are you to tell God that he should be bound by the condition of "unconditional acceptance"? Especially since you've given us an up close look at how well that's working for you.
