Valedictorian fights deportation

If they knowingly overstayed the "vacation visa", and knew they stayed in our country illegeally, which both students, and thier parents were aware of..don't let the door hit you in the ass !!

All they had to do was apply for citizenship, and became part of our country the proper way, and this wouldn't even be an issue..but then thier parents might have had to pay taxes like the rest of us !

I have two brothers that work for ICE for the US Gov't and I hear horror stories everyday. I have no pity for anyone that is here illegeally..

Apparently, they did more with the education they received than you did...

Its the title of the CNN story.

Oh and I wouldnt say being smart makes them more "worthy" of sympathy. I think the point was to highlight that the family is your classic "American dream" family. The children are gifted with bright futures, their brother is serving our country and both their parents work.

So, the brother is part of our military? No one has a problem with that? How did that happen? If he's older than the daughters, he also came here illegally. If he's younger, how is he already enlisted as a minor?

Try actually reading it you fucking idiot. Once again you shoot off your ignorant mouth without bothering to learn anything.

The teen was shocked by the judge's ruling since her brother was allowed to become a citizen and is currently serving in the U.S. military. He has toured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You should be institutionalized and treated for your anger issues before you become the next headline. Does your rage extend to your family as well?

I wonder how this brother becomes a citizen then. Does he marry into it? Because I'm pretty certain one does not just live here illegally for so many years and then one day apply for citizenship.

Someone other than KRC? She's foaming at the mouth and can't articulate an answer...

He joined the army. Many people wishing to become citizens agree to serve for a certain length of time in exchange for citizenship.

Wow. So, as long as you're willing to kill in combat for the US, take orders with no moral conscience, you can become a citizen, no fucking questions asked.

Yet, the simple, peace loving man or woman, who only wants to better themselves and their family is met with a bloodthirsty mob of villagers with torches...

Then send her some money.

Holy fuck you're an idiot.

If minor children were brought here illegally by their parents, they should be allowed to stay and apply for citizenship when they reach 18.

We are really becoming a nation of hate-filled war mongers. We'd rather blow a country to hell, then spend the next decade rebuilding it, then take care of our own.

Exactly.

How is it the fault of a four-year-old that her parents overstayed their visa?

Good news for Palaez and her family:

North Miami High Valedictorian Daniela Pelaez Granted Temporary Two-Year Stay Of Deportation

ETA: Palaez was NOT brought here illegally by her parents, they had tourist visas, which they overstayed...this is an immigration infraction, not a criminal offense. Subsequently, her father obtained his legal residency and her brother became a U.S. citizen after serving in the U.S. military. According to the article, her application for residency was denied in 2010.
