"An immigration judge has ruled two teenage girls, including a Miami high school valedictorian, are to be deported for being in the country illegally.

Daniela Pelaez, 18, and her sister Dayana came to the United States with their parents from Colombia 14 years ago and never left - overstaying their tourist visas.

A Miami immigration judge ruled this week that the two girls must be deported to Colombia, leaving the teenagers in shock.

"Education not deportation!" chanted fellow students Friday during a protest outside the North Miami Senior High School, where Pelaez is valedictorian.

The high school senior has a 6.7 grade point average and is at top of her class out of 823 students, said a school administrator."

They won't let her finish the school year?

That sounds like someone ratter her out out of jealousy. I honestly didn't know that a 14-year-old needed a visa, I thought that was a grown-up thing. I, obviously, have never traveled abroad.

Got to blame their parents for not getting them the proper papers for staying here.

Gee, they broke the law and now they are getting punished.
Do you suppose the thread starter would use as an example a drunk illegal immigrant who ran over a liberal Democrat (but I repeat myself) handing out "Free Che!" leaflets?
I
Don't

So

How hard is that visa stuff to do? I don't know anything about it.

I'm not sure, but I think if you're here on a work visa all you have to do is prove you're working.
There could be a expiration date in them.

Because "education not deportation" is a really terrible chant.

The rhyming reductionist chant is a fundamental part of the American culture, and you shall give it the respect it deserves!

Thus decrees the Latrine Queen.
Carry on.

Actually someone else broke the law & they're being punished.

How does a four year old break the law?

Every feral Democrat gets 4.0 just for breathing, the extra points are for coming to school and not being a nuisance.

Most Colombian immigrants tended to be Republicans, as were most Cuban and Nicaraguan immigrants...part of the backlash against their country's violent leftist movements.

Until recently. Now, thanks to xenophobic Republican "grass-roots" movements like the Tea Party and racist immigration laws, even Cubans are turning against the GOP.

And in 20 years or so, when Hispanics and blacks outnumber whites in this country, ya'll are fucked :D

Oh, when the Republicans get fucked, all those smug Democrats are probably going to get fucked too...

:)

So many children, so much government support.

Vote Democratic.

It pays to register.

Maybe, but bottomline is: Somebody gotta do the work dat pay the bills, and dat person aint of the colored persuasion with an Affirmative Action Deeploma. Every Spic I know of washes up on the beach and gets in line for his AA bennies.

Back in the 1800s one white guy herded 200 darkies around.
