I haz one. :D

What to do with this somewhat unexpected gift......

I brought home some work (my supervisor, wonderful woman, was quick to tell me not to do too much work on a "gift" day off).... I can bake some brownies.... try to get a little less behind on emails and podcasts (that's hopeless, frankly, but I still make the effort).... My best friend lives in another state (sans snow day) so she's at work; rule that phone call out....

If you had a surprise day off, how would you spend it?

*happy sigh* This is the bestest job I've had in so many years. Wonderful co-workers, upper management that appreciates the shiznet out of what we do, clients who say we make a real difference in their lives. And snow days. Who could ask for more? ;)

Duck --> Incoming!!

Meanwhile, I'm cutting flowers today...

:) Have fun!

We were alllmmmost there: this was sorta the Winter that Wasn't.

Huge storm in October (with massive damage because the trees were still full and green, unnaturally late in the year), followed by a few tiny snow nothin-much's, a few rain nothin-much's, no temps below zero. Both flora and fauna were dreadfully confused and didn't do normal winter hibernating type activities worth a dang. Not to mention, the plow crews being despondent over lost revenues. :D Several weeks lately with temps in the 50s, weird as hell.

But I'm still jealous that you're cutting flowers! Bring one in for me?

I sure will...

Yesterday, I was posting about the tornadoes all around me.

I'd rather have a snow day that counting dead. My wife and Princess were actually in Harrisburg on Saturday just like we were in Joplin for the last tornado.

It might be time to reconsider being an atheist!

Someone's out to get me!

I saw some pictures out of Branson. Horrid. A good friend of mine has family on the other side of the lake and dam. I'd not realized that you were in Joplin for the last go-round. Yikes. I'm not sure if I should encourage the deity-seeking, or if you guys already have a naturally protective bubble around you that doesn't extend into your communities. Maybe it's time to consider another move, this time away from tornado/flood/whatever areas? ;)

Snow days are evil.

You should go in and get some work done.
*snort* I'd rather stay here and have y'all entertain me. *evil grin*

We had a snow day yesterday, it was so much fun, made doubly so after a very mild winter with no snow. It will all disappear by next week but the snowmen, forts and fight remnants were nice to see this morning when I left for work.

Sweet! I'd not realized the lack of snow had gone so far westward....

I bey your kids were thrilled to have a snow day yesterday! (eta: I was watching the storm rolling through your area to get to mine on radar.)

btw, I love the new avatar. Sexy as hell. *nods*

We have been considering a move for economic reasons...

;) ;) Costa Rica.
Not just economic reasons... privacy and relative freedom come to mind as well. :(

Nice pics, the college kids here were quite creative during our lone snow day of the season...

It's hard to believe that I used to have that much energy.

I made a little over 12 dollars yesterday and got an "atta boy" from Laurel.

I've been meaning to mention that your name came up during the weekly meeting of The General Board Posting Standards Committee - Subcommittee on Quality. I did the best I could for you, but I suspect you are going to get a note put in your permanent record for your recent homo-suggestive posts.

Supposed to be near 70 today here in the capital of the free world.
Show off. All that wet that rolled through yesterday musta been rain, then?

We'll be in the 60's again by mid-week next week. Isn't right, I tell ya. Delightful, but not right.

An "atta boy"? From Laurel? I'm seriously impressed.

*gets on knees and kowtows*

Thunder storms yesterday and last night. Rinsed the gullies out.

Bing images has been my friend. Especially since I turned the smut filter off. :D

Something tells me, that committee could ding all of us on occasion.

*worries*
