So do clowns. Things pretending to be something they aren't are nefarious. At least clowns pretend to make you want to laugh, but it's really about the money. But so is religion. After I left home for school, I kept getting threatening letters from my church saying if I didn't contribute they would have to drop me from their rolls. At the time I was too busy learning that my university was pretending to care about educating me, but it was really about the money.

Sarasota Florida has a clown school. I wonder if they hold church services on Sunday?

It's the stuff of nightmares.

My religion doesn't scare me.

But clowns. Naw... not having anything to do with them.

Clowns scare me more than religion. I think of Pennywise from "It"

That's why politicians scare me.

its not religious beliefs that are scary but more mass religion. what is more frightening a lone crazy. or a mob just escaped from and insane asylum?

Yeah, it's only MASS RELIGION. Believing that the world is 6000 years old, and that some guy named jesus died and came back to life as a zombie, and then forgives your sins if you eat his body...

Nothing weird about that.

its 12,000 not 6,000. get it right. :D had a discussion with one and was informed that the moon landing actually scientifically proved their assertion.

and only a very select group of Christian fundamentalist actually believe that.

Religion should be scary. It has been the cause of many of societies ills. There are few things more easily twisted to fit evil intent than religion.

Banks aren't so scary, at least modren banks. They let you know right up front "we're about the money." They change names a lot, so that can be a little fishy. They'll loan you money, but only if you don't really need it. I'm the opposite but I'm not all that smart about money. If you're a clown, don't even ask, get your own damn money. Rob a collection plate or something.

Plus, banks are insured by the government, and those guys aren't the least bit scary.
