Writing Goal for the Day?

Wrote 10k for my bDSM project yesterday and already have 3k done today.

Does anyone else ever get to the point where it seems to be flowing so well you begin to worry?

Waiting on suggestions and feedback from my beta reader to get past a wall. Although I don't know when I'll be able to do anything about it. Parents are off to the airport, hope it all goes well on their flights. Ack.

Yes, and when that happens, I stop, take a breather and then come back. For me it's almost a teeny panic attack.

Got through the battling and set it up for the surprise twist in BotC. Setting up the first intimate contact in my lesbian story. Fun trying to write such diverse subjects at the same time. :D

If I can just get out letters of invitation to special contributors to a biennial mainstream anthology today I'll be pleased with a day's production.

Thank fuck for productive weekends. 25k written in a new story, thinking it's about half done or so. Excited to get it finished!

RULE OF THUMB: If youre nervous its a signal that all is not right.

I'm working on a Trans/CD story this morning and have about 2000 words in, which is pretty good, seeing as I'm toggling back and forth to Lit., (which is my norm) and I had to pick up a sick teenager from the school, and soon I'll have to head out the door again - may take my mini-laptop with me for the waiting room at the doc's. We'll see.

Trying to get last night's Grammy telecast out of my mind.

Turned it on and it wasn't music. I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition!!!

Let's try to get some erotic noir done, maybe 1000 or so words.

I must be old and have bad taste, b/c I am about the only person I know besides my husband who enjoyed the show. Or I have lower expectations. Then again, I'm often on the "other side" about these things.

The Niki Manaj homage to Monty Python's "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition," and the "dance thing were annoying as sin, and left me wondering: Who okayed that? That's what made me try to forget it.

Adele's winning much was awesome, and her "A little bit of snot," remake was THE line of the night!!

Sir Paul McCartney was classy AND classic. I totally enjoyed Joe Walsh on the guitar during, "My Valentine," was class.

I am old, I didn't know half of those up for awards.

I have to admit the Nicki Minaj thing was on the baffling side. I wasn't thinking Spanish Inquisition so much as The Exorcist on Broadway.

Adele sounded great, and yes, that was a hilarious line. McCartney was great, as always, and I have to say I thought Glen Campbell may have had the best performance. Although I really liked Bruno Mars -- I have a soft spot for R&B doo-wop stuff.

I actually knew of most of the artists, although I hadn't heard stuff by most of them. Still, I enjoyed it.

Hope your teen feels better soon:rose:

Thank-you very much. :rose:

Well on the way home I realized I was writing my new Trans/CD story all wrong. The idea came from a Litster and they mentioned how they liked reading stories in 1st POV, so I said I'd write it for them that way.

As I'm writing, I keep thinking this is tricky because folks' names are very similar, then I realized - duh - Red - you're supposed to be in 1st POV, not 3rd, so I'm startin' over. :D

Now it's gonna flow like wine. :D

It's a PennGirl pre-school day, which means I'll drop her off and go to McD's and hopefully get some writing done, although I'm not really feeling it right now.

The Survivor Contest is pushing me to write in categories I tend to avoid (which is a good thing). Struggling with BDSM right now. For me, the interesting part isn't the hot BDSM action - it's more "How is this organized? How do people fall into this lifestyle?" That's the idea behind the story I'm working on right now. Three-thousand words in, I'm worried that it's more dialog than erotic action, but it's the story I think I want to tell. I have another BDSM style story in the submission process. It's not very erotic either, but I like the twist to it. It's a remarkably short for me, barely surpassing the 750 word minimum.
