I hate when they tell you their birth names. Those guys might not mind, but a lot of trans people have no interest in sharing their birth names, and they will get asked another 10 times for every article that publishes somebody else's birth name. I get that it's human nature to be curious - hell, I find the choosing of a new name fascinating any time someone does it, for whatever reason - but we simply don't get to pry into someone's private life all the time like that.

I do like the way you can contribute others though! I looked through the contributions and didn't see Dylan Orr, so I'm adding him.

I don't think I would give out my birth name either, were I to chance it- for any reason, not just gender reassignment.

Handsome-ness is definitely in the eye of the beholder, because I see nothing particularly handsome or attractive about Buck Angel, Loren Cameron, Chaz Bono, Thomas Beatie, Katastrophe, or Lucas Silveira.

Untill FTM transformation becomes easier and less fraught, you're going to get mostly the rebels and bloody-minded folk-- born into female bodies-- making the change. And mostly, they will have acted out in other ways first, such as tattoos.
