1. The incontrovertible fact that the word "Truther" is used ironically to mean "conspiracy nut" has no bearing on the existence or nonexistence of actual conspiracies.


2....and no bearing on my personal beliefs about anything (for the record, I think that many things in this world are not on the up and up.)

3. Your original post contains an ambiguity. "Truther" is an invented word. It is not suddenly "now" an insult. It has always been an insult, during its short (about a decade) life. If the Alex Jones tools and stoned dorm room conspiracy heads were mocked with the phrase "truth seeker" or something of the sort, your poast would have a point.
