quite good? QUITE good?it will be, yes,
Red, it's a modern day version and really quite good.
indeedy
Benedict Cumberbatch?
I have to admit I never thought I'd ever be able to watch anybody other than Jeremy Brett in the role but Cumberbatch is, at least, interesting.
The idiot American Robert Downey is an offense against nature.
I laughed out loud a few times. Never really watched the first series, though I remember the cliff hanger. But Shy is a big fan. Got to admit I enjoyed this one.
It's a great series and it really re vamps the whole Sherlock Holmes thing. Ita so good and better than any of the period stuff. I hope it's recorded so I can watch it tonight. He could do with a live interest though
it's great what they've done with it, for sure. brought it slap bang up to date but really kept the core feel for the piece. i was dubious but as soon as i saw them last year i was hooked.
did you see the first ep of series 2 with the dominatrix? loved the twist at the end.
I had to chuckle when I noticed a considerably younger Benedict Cumberbatch ( with more hair ) making an appearance in an ancient episode of Miss Marple last night. In his role as a modern day incarnation of Holmes, Cumberbatch does not quite manage to pull off the necessary suspension of disbelief— but he's close enough to make the series well worth watching.
Everytime I see an advertisement for the U.S. cinema version featuring the horribly-out-of-his-depth Robert Downey, I cringe.
do. not. miss it.
