Well, I assume that was a yes to my last pictures being against the rules. It didn't take long for my thread to get deleted... That sucks, but honestly... can you tell me.... who decides if a photo is... "(E) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person."

The definition: las·civ·i·ous
adjective
1. inclined to lustfulness; wanton; lewd: a lascivious, girl-chasing old man.
2. arousing sexual desire: lascivious photographs.
3. indicating sexual interest or expressive of lust or lewdness: a lascivious gesture.

I mean if we go by this definition wouldn't #3 prevent all pictures?

Maybe, just maybe... my pictures didn't fall in this category?

I figured if there was a problem with 1 post and the pictures attached to it... they would just delete that post, but I guess that isn't the case.

Maybe after I finish this Calculus homework, I'll put up the pics I posted today, minus the pubic area photos...
None the less I needed a place to vent and another place to post any future pics.

*BTW* The mod that deleted my thread... you SUCK too! Just saying...

*OH WOW!!!! I can't attach any of the pics from "Blessed" because they are already out there somewhere...
MOD: either delete the damn thing or open it back up, but why leave it in limbo?

If you post your pics on another site and then just post links to them, they shouldn't get your thread deleted. I think imageview is one of the sites used most often.

You violated the forum rules, and as I have posted in this thread
Hi there

I'm in the process of looking at threads here in the forum, and if I find pics in them that violate the Forum Rules, I will remove the thread without any warning!

So if you want to make sure you thread isn't removed, make sure that all the pics in them follow the rules:

Forum Rules

Please consider that the moderators only are here to help the site owner to make sure that the posts and threads follow the Forum Rules. If you don't agree with the forum rules, please don't discuss them with the moderators, but contact the siteowners about them. You can find a handy link to do that at the bottom of every page.

I'm not into going through all of that work and trouble. If posting a pic of my landing strip gets my thread deleted, then I just wont post pics of that area... I just think it is stupid, because it wasn't like I was spread eagle or using a toy... I did take pics of that, I just knew those were against the rules so I didn't post them. I honestly had no idea a little pubic area was cause for deleting a thread.
Oh well.... we will see what happens. I may be over this whole pic posting thing anyway. I enjoyed my thread for more than the pictures. I enjoyed the conversations and if I can't go back and read those or continue those conversations maybe I don't want to get involved in it again, with the fear of losing it again because of some tight ass MOD.

I wasn't talking to you about it... I was just expressing my freedom of speech. Which I think I am still allowed to do here.
Also, I read the rules and like I mentioned in my post... I was not aware my photos broke those rules.. I actually asked if they were and posted them in their own post, with the intent of deleting the post if they were against the rules... but again... I WASN'T talking to you! Just speaking my mind. I honestly don't care if GOD himself made the rules.

Looks like I got bumped too - figured it would happen sooner or later.

On a side note... Why did this thread get put in the lounge? I started it in Am Pic... LAME

To bad I love the people of lit so much... if I didn't I would just ditch it.
Guess I will figure all this shit out later... and calm down.
Finals and tests to worry about.

I was just wondering the same thing. Probably for the same reason that the police in big cities like to set up special "protest zones" that are a hike away from the event being protested, so that they can deny free speech while giving the illusion of allowing it.

Possibly. The theater of the mind can be so very stimulating.

Seems mosty of Lit's members forget that they're on an erotic literature web site!!

An erotic literature site that has a place specifically for posting pics.

I do think it's poor form to not at least give someone a warning if a photo they post is out of bounds, especially on threads that have been around a while and the posted hasn't violated the rule(s) on multiple occasions. Of course, that'd be too much work, I suppose.

FWIW, I agree with the OP that a simple photo of a pubic mound is in no way "lascivious."

Because the rules states:

11. Please post content in the appropriate forum. We do not believe in censorship, but your posts will be moved or removed if you do not read the forum title before hitting "SUBMIT". Personal ads should be posted in the "Personals" forum, story ideas in the "Story Ideas" forum, BDSM issues in the BDSM forum, random nonsense on the General Board, and so on.

So a thread without any am pics, doesn't belong in the am pic forum.

It just so happened, I tried to post pics, but I couldn't post them because they are somewhere in limbo

You have already attached this file in thread : Blessings... "

And I felt the need to let my friends know I didn't delete my own thread. As soon as (I guess YOU) fix the problem with my thread (ie taking it out of limbo: see quote above about my attachment already being in a thread) and allow me to repost the pics that did not break rules, I will post the NEW pics I just posted. And since only 5 of the 17 pictures *could have* broken the rules, I'd like to post the other 12 again. Which I canNOT post on this thread, because that would be breaking another rule.
*Never thought of myself as a rule breaker, but I guess this is how my day is going.

#whattheFUCKever!

Thanks for the support Dani

Probably because your thread bitching at the mods was an "am pic". :) Be glad he didn't dump you into the General Board!!

It got moved from the moment I made it... not giving me a chance to attach a picture. Also, the fact that I wanted and tried to attach pics but was unable due to those pictures already being in the thread that was removed.

I'm being to feel like this mod has an issue with me... and rightly so, NOW!

Back when Lit first joined the World Wide Web, you had to E-mail your pictures to the web site and the owners chose if they were allowed or not. The Amateur Pic Feedback board was created for someone's "fan" to post feedback to the person who offered a pic.

Scroll down near the bottom of the Stories & Pics page and you'll see a section that says "Amateur Pictures" - Hot shots submitted by our readers... (Plus, Lit utilized their sister site known as "harderstuff.com". That was the only location were you could have close up shots of the genitals.) Needless to say, neither location is the home of Lit member's amateur pictures anymore.

Around 2003 or 2004 (I think) the technology of vBulletin (the bulletin boards "company" that is utilized by millions of web sites and not just Lit - a good example that I can think of because I KNOW it's NOT "spam" to Lit would be the Mod The Sims 1, 2, and 3 - boards for The Sims video game fans) changed and expanded. Suddenly one could add their E-mail to the boards via a quick button-pushing link. The same was true for pictures. People can (and do) post pictures all over Lit in many boards. It's still the (thankless) job of the moderator to remove pics that are in violation. Same with if a member posts their E-mail. Or any other type of personal info.

There's a reason the owners of Lit posted their disclaimer saying "Legally we can only show soft core images". It makes me laugh when someone bitches after they've broken the rules. Especially if they know they've broken them.

Took more work than I really wanted to do, but I just couldn't sit back and wait for some power hungry mod to finish what they started.

New thread up in am pic... if you care to check...

Thanks to those of you who supported me and understood I wasn't trying to break a rule, much less get my thread of a year deleted. I guess the boring and safe thing is to just take pics of my arm or feet... no one would find those body parts as lascivious... or would someone? I mean come on, people lust after faces, but we aren't made to cover them up before we go outside.

That has nothing to do with the mod. You'll have to bitch at Laurel. When threads are removed (and that's what the mod is supposed to do) they are placed in a board known as the Mod Queue. It's not available to the general public of Lit. It was Laurel and/or Manu's choice for posts/threads to NOT be deleted and to be dumped in there. That's why a newbie may show 15 posts to their name but when you go look them up you see they only have 2. That means the other 13 posts were removed by various mods for various reasons. The post numbers remain, but not the posts.

My point all along was that I didn't know I had broken them and it was never my intention to break the rules.
It is cool that there is a reason and I am fine with having rules, but the rule is so vague that you don't truly know what isn't allowed. If a mod is looking and finds something that shouldn't be there... what is the difference between deleting the post that had the attachments and leaving a kind little note of warning... *A post or posts were removed due to rule breaking and if this happens again your thread will be removed* I can't see how that would be much more work for people who just roam around perving on pics anyway.

So, that wasn't your attention regarding any of your pics you've posted? :) The way I understand the rules, "close ups" of genitals - where they are in the foreground and "in your face" as it were - aren't allowed.
