This is NOT a gore fetish related question. Just thought you should know.

I am currently engaged to a man that I love very much (and he loves me, YAY!)
We are very open and experimental with our sexual practices and preferences. However, one of my fetishes seems to be a hard limit. I have an attraction to small quantities of naturally induced bleeding (i.e. nosebleeds, chapped/ split lips [I could get him in a bar fight :)]) but I don't want him to get hurt and I don't want to hurt him (I also don't want him to hurt himself on my behalf.) I am allergic to the red dye used in most synthetic blood (I'm an FX makeup artist, it sucks.) so that's not really an option. MY question is, how can I get around this hiccup? The obvious choice would be to just let it go, but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.

Thanks,
Kida (and her love)

hi,
I too enjoy blood play, and while many methods can be dangerous in the hands of the unskilled I think you will find that acupuncture needles do very little damage even if you try and do produce a satisfying droplet of blood or two.

knife play

I'm not sure how you or your partner feel about knife play, I've always been quite fond of a knife in hands and I'm rather adept at using one. Knife play can easily be combined with blood play assuming the partner is willing to get cut (which does sting if you've got a sharp knife), however knife play relies very heavily on the skill of the person wielding the blade and can be dangerous if one does not know exactly what they are doing and the tolerances in which they are working. It is an acquired skill set though and not too hard to obtain with light regular practice.

Thanks! Never thought about this, we'll have to try it out (after much research, of course!!) You wouldn't happen to know of any resources, would you?

Thanks!! We'll have to look into it!

Scratch his back, HARD. Win-win. And easy to cover up at the office, too.

hi Kida, I do have resources for you but unfortunately you have your private messages turned off and I can't post them on the thread because forum rules

Lancets will achieve similar results, and may be more easily obtainable.

Sterile hypodermic needles are very easily and inexpensively obtained online. I haven't bought a box for a few years, but I believe they were around $8 for 100 needles with free shipping last I purchased. Do some research on needle play so you know the basics and what gauge(s) and size(s) to get (I want to say I bought 18 & 20 gauge in 1.5" length, but don't quote me on that) , get some needles on a medical supply site, rubbing alcohol, cotton balls, gauze and nitrile gloves, and go to town safely producing drops of blood and endorphins!

I've ALWAYS wanted to try this and been to chicken shit because I don't clot... Is it seriously more dangerous for me?

Did you every try making your own synthetic blood if the real thing is too much of a pain? I'm a sfx makeup art student and have a couple of recipies that don't taste too bad and you might not be allergic too if you want them.

That's not chickenshit, it's using your head.

Having said that, you won't bleed much out of a 20 gauge hole, so it's unlikely to result in a full blown medical emergency. The one exception I'm aware of is an erect cock, which will produce quite a bit of blood.

That's something you need to discuss with your doctor, not us.

It seems to be common sense to think if you [could] lose a significant/dangerous amount of blood from, say, a blood draw or injection, when you're under the care of a medical professional, then it's a patently stupid idea to make yourself bleed via needle play, cutting, or anything else.
