What the hell is wrong with Congressman Fleming? I make significantly less than him per year and I still keep more than $400,000 after taxes, charitable contributions and all manner of expenses. We take $65,000 of that a year, live like kings, and save the rest.

What the hell is this guy spending his money on? And dude, if you're feeling hot under the collar with $400,000 left, you're an idiot. And WTF are you doing with your $6.3 million in gross profits that you only have $400,000 left to buy equipment???

Oh and... higher taxes on the rich have coincided with robust job creation.

Add John Fleming, a Republican congressman from Louisiana, to the growing, bipartisan list of relatively well-off politicians who may want to revisit the way they discuss their income in public.
During an MSNBC interview to discuss why Fleming opposes President Obama's tax increase on those earning more than $1 million per year, host Chris Jansing said that Fleming has an income of more than $6 million. Fleming quickly corrected her, saying he actually takes in a fraction of that gross amount--about $600,000.

"The amount that I have to reinvest in my business and feed my family is more like $600,000 of that $6.3 million," Fleming explained. "So by the time I feed my family I have, maybe, $400,000 left over to invest in new locations, upgrade my locations, buy more equipment."

I don't like to take up for idiots -- such as politicians -- but I think this pinhead actually meant that after he factors in his housing expenses and all other household bills, it totals roughly $200,000. Even that is a spectacular amount, because the sum of my household bills doesn't crack the $50,000 mark. But if the pinheaded politician has a huge house, large car payments, and other assorted large bills, he could definitely approach $200,000.

And if that is not what he meant -- if he actually is a big enough moron to spend $200,000 actually FEEDING his family -- it's probably time to put him out to pasture. He would be as detached from reality as the rest of the morons in D.C.

And I don't like his choices of food, if what he does on TV is what he generally serves. If I weren't married and my wife didn't do some awesome cooking of her own, I'd pay top dollar for this talent in my kitchen, though:
