Actually our English friend is disposed for the week and he asked yours truly to start a temporary one for him until he returns and can start his own.

theme: Stories will be rejected if the minimum theme requirement is not met (LAUREL will adjudicate )

There is only about a two weeks to go to the start of the Halloween Contest and ogg wanted this thread started now for those who wish to be well prepared.

As before, this thread is to encourage authors to write and enter, to support them when the muses fly away, to sympathize when trolls attack, and to shamelessly beg for votes.

For anyone who hasn't entered a themed Literotica /A.I.R. contest before:

The advantages are that once you enter, your entry and all your writing gets more attention, votes, feedback and PCs than it would otherwise get. You also get support from members of the Author's Hangout.

The disadvantages are that you will also attract unwelcome attention from trolls and unenlightened critics. The sweeps of duplicated and illegal votes can cause heartbreak. You will probably curse the marking systems and fail to understand how they could possibly have done that to you. It can be a bumpy ride.

I recommend that you pay close attention to the advice some of the greats drop in and give. Especially enlightening are the views and opinions of writers who are TOP TEN “Most Favorited” or those who are members of the 1000+ VOTE CLUB and/or 100+ COMMENT CLUB. It’s these authors whose works have stood the test of time.

Please ignore the outrageous unsubstantiated claims of the moaners, wailers and gnashers of teeth that regularly occur in this thread over the contest and voting systems and instead concentrate on the benefits of writing contest entries. Please use the ignore function to remove those people who irritate you most from this or any thread.

Please do not enter stories in any of the following categories – they’ve been excluded from this contest : Non Human, Sci-Fi, Non Erotic, BDSM, Gay and Romance.

If you really want your writing to improve, critics will be a factor. Entering a themed Literotica/A.I.R. contest is one of the easier ways to get noticed.

If in doubt, go for it. You have nothing to lose but your virginity, and if you haven't lost it yet, what are you doing here?​

Being that this is the unofficial Halloween contest thread, I had to make a special appearance from the dead and from my grave to offer you my support.

By the way, they did a nice job on my tombstone. If I had a camera handy, I would have taken a photo. The front of the tombstone, in big letters reads, THE END.

The back of the tombstone lists all my nearly 1,000 stories with more being added every time one of my alts, AndTheEnd, CarBufffStuff, PositiveThinker, WmForrester, and SuperHeroRalph writes a new story.

By the way, I'll have a new and secret alt for 2012, at least one, maybe 12. I dunno, yet.

I'll be entering, at least 5 stories. I know entering 5 stories is expressly forbidden by the unofficial rules of the contest, but I'm dead and who gives a fuck how many stories I enter. I don't have a rat's chance of winning the official or unofficial contest anyway (lol).

I'll be entering an incest story, Mother-in-law Peeping for Halloween, a real crowd pleaser.

A story in the humor category, ...And Then, I Met Her Mother, a wicked funny story of romance and stupidity.

And the above two posts made under the BOSTONFICTIONWRITER moniker simply reignite for all of freddies old friends the pain we’ve felt since his murder over two years ago.

In his first post somehow the real Freddie rose from his neglected grave in a Boston cemetery to say hello to us. This courageous crusader for truth, this author who ignited the erotic passions of millions of readers from Delhi to Detroit, this kind and giving man who was taken from us at such an early age, was momentarily able to throw off the chains of death.

Could there be anything more enticing than a new story from BFW? I think not! Even dead our Freddie could infuse a story with more life than twenty AHers could. And what a help this man could be for the ‘newbies’ who flock every day to this site for advice and succor.

And this coming after I’d finally started to have some hope for your long term rehabilitation. I hoped the growing maturity you hinted at with your performance in the Summer Luvin Contest might slowly evolve into regret at your past misdeeds and a commitment to improvement.

5 STORIES!!!! Couldn’t you at least limit your participation to three? If I were you I’d forget the two stories with OLD in their titles. Quite frankly they don’t sound very interesting.

Of course many of us had noticed over the years that lord ogg’s thread had an exclusionary slant. That perhaps the younger and less wiser oggman often exhibited that famous upper class English tendency of looking down their noses at anyone not of their class.

If fact to sneeringly describe the rest of the world as “wogs” (in fact one can’t help wondering if the oggman didn’t choose his name as a put down of non AHers).

However, I’m confident that with age and growing maturity our English overlord is now more receptive to “others”. That his recent sojourn on the continent further opened his eyes to the realities of the 21st century.

Men wearing wigs and dressed as women are accused of stealing thousands of dollars of filmy fabrics, sequins, feather boas and other accessories from Central Florida stores.

"It's a whole gang of drag queens," said Amanda Marshall, manager of Jo-Ann Fabrics on East Colonial Drive in Orlando, where police arrested three suspects Sunday afternoon. "They were real upset when the police made them take their wigs off." Such thefts became routine within the past year at fabric and hobby stores.

"We've never caught them red-handed but that sounds just like them," said Mark Sauer, the owner of the Sewing Studio Fabric Superstore on U.S. Highway 17-92 in Maitland. "In my memory, they had been coming in on Friday nights in a group. They wore makeup but I don't remember them wearing dresses."

At Jo-Ann Fabrics on Sunday, the staff recognized four transvestites, including one in a tight white knit skirt, enter the store at about 5 p.m. as some of the same men they had reported at least three previous times to Orlando police, according to interviews and police reports.

"They'd come in and order yards of fabric at up to $39.99 a yard, stuff it in their man purses and leave without paying," Marshall said. "Oh, gosh, they could wipe out a whole section of boas in seconds…"

A man wearing a tank top and multi-color tights was spotted putting these items in a handbag: Five packs of black feathers, two packs of red feathers, two packs of red lace gloves, two packs of black red lace gloves, eyelashes, five bra pads, five butt pads, five gel inserts as well as three handbags, two boas, three pairs of costume glasses and 10 bandanas. When confronted, some of the suspects handed over merchandise to the staff while others bolted through the front door.

One of them, Demitri Marsh, 19, swore at a clerk and threatened to cut her before fleeing, reports state. Marsh, Renford Patterson, 18, and Antonio Webb, 22, were charged with retail theft of merchandise worth more than $300, a felony.
